This restaurant looks popular and the food looks good. However I wouldn’t be able to say as I wasn’t able to be seated. The sever/manager was extremely rude. I arrived at the restaurant at 7:15 pm on a Saturday night after a cold toboggan ride in Quebec City. The manager said there was no way he could seat me even at the bar as he had reservations at 8pm. There were empty tables and the entire bar was empty. As a person dining alone I could have been done fairly quickly and been out of there before his reservations arrived. Food for thought next time you turn down a visitor who is a guest in your city for a short while!

hi there! i'm sorry we could't fit you in, but i must inform you that you should always make a reservation if you want to make sure to have a place at a restaurant, even more on a saturday night. we have a second setting of people arriving at 20h to eat with us, and we ask our own customers who did make a reservation (between 5 and 6pm) to leave before 7h45 to make sure everything goes smoothly for the rest of the night. and you said it yourself, the nights are cold here, so obviously, people who have a reservation will also be arriving earlier than 8pm, even more if they spent the beginning of their night outside like you did. so, no, it was not possible for us at that moment to sit you at 7h15, even more when we are fully booked. and i must say, im sorry if we seemed rude to you, but you should know that English isnt your fist language, so maybe it seemed rude to you, but we are doing are best to give your a good service in YOUR language, even tho we arent fully fluent. i think you should reconsider your review, because you cant truthfully say that we gave you a bad service when you didnt get any service. we would be happy to have you if you do make a reservation in the future, and then you could give us an honest review.
Had an amazing New Years Eve dinner here. Food, service, and vibe were great. Will for sure come back next time we're in Quebec City.

Service and atmosphere was good, but food could be better done. Duck confit was dry and slightly overcooked, French onion soup tasted more like beef broth with added onions, lacked depth and richness. Beef cheek poutine was good.

hi! thank you for your review! and im sorry your food wasn't to your liking, but just for your information, we make our own veal stock every week for our french onion soup, in which we cook our onions with red wine and spices, we would never just add onions to a beef broth and call it a french onion soup!
