We went to Bistro Nola last night and had an excellent experience from start to finish. We shared a few appetizers including the mac and cheese, fried chicken, and gumbo sausage, all were absolutely delicious and full of flavor. Perfect for sharing and a great way to start the meal. For mains, we had the smoked brisket, braised short ribs, and blackened catfish. Every dish was cooked perfectly and packed with rich, authentic flavors. Dessert was on another level. We tried the Mississippi mud pie, pain perdu, and beignets. Everything was amazing, but the Oreo mud pie really stood out. Service was fast, friendly, and very smooth all evening. The restaurant was packed, so we were really glad we made a reservation. Overall, great value, amazing food, and a fantastic atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back.

This was my 2nd time ar Nolah after a 10 year hiatus. I found it was very dark, tables were small and chairs too flimsy. Waiter was very enthusiastic and attentive, however, he kept addressing only a couple of people at the table, rather than letting us all know about the specials. Food-wise: the scallops were good, but are they worth $50? No, not in my opinion. The ceviche was overly citrusy and very small portion. The bread was delicious, as were the Hush Puppies. The chocolate torte and beignets were divine. Fried chicken was tasty and Ceasars salad delicious as well. Overall, it was a good experience, but I find the prices were a but much.

I went with my family for mother's day brunch. I can't wait to go back for dinner. If you go with kids, order the fruits, chicken and French toast. Update. I finally went for dinner and my experience was so different. It felt like they needed to get rid of us since we went in but I had a reservation. They gave us an awful table for 2, the one just in front of the bar where all waiter and the owner stand to talk...so we requested another one and they gave us a deadline. I heard a waiter harassing a lady next us, where was her party since he had a 4 seat table and she was alone. Food was great but small and high prices. I am changing my 5 star review to meh.

Went to Bistro Nola for Breakfast on Sunday. I didnt have reservations. I sat at the bar. The food was very very good. I was surprised they didnt have fresh squeezed orange juice, and charged $7 for Tropicana OJ, but everything else was stellar. I had the Le Richard. 2 pieces of Fried chicken on French toast...a poached egg on a corn bread muffin, and some ham underneath the muffin, with home fries. Very good. Cooked perfectly. They have a very well stocked bar too, good scotches and rums. I'm surprised Kalhua for their coffee liqueur, vs Barista from Montreal, very coffee forward coffee liqueur, vs Kalhua. But just offering suggestions.

The brunch was absolutely delicious, n flavourful even my kids loved the pancakes n fried chicken. A sweet charm of a place. Only small issue was that because the place is small i felt a bit rushed towards the end for other reservations. I will definately be going back for dinner and brunches.

Honestly one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The chef prepared a special tasting menu for us and every dish was absolutely delicious, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. You could really taste the care and creativity in each plate. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and the service was attentive and friendly from start to finish. It truly felt like a special dining experience. Thank you to the chef and the team for such a memorable meal. I will definitely be back and highly recommend it!

Amazing New Orleans, style restaurant! The food is always delicious, full of flavor, and perfectly cooked. The place has such a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel comfortable right away. Richard, the owner, is always super welcoming and friendly, which makes the experience even better. You can really tell he cares about his customers. Definitely a spot worth visiting if you love tasty food and a warm vibe! One of my favorite restaurant in the West Island.

Cleanliness was a serious concern. The table was sticky, the floor was dirty, and the washroom was not maintained properly. It’s hard to enjoy a meal when basic hygiene standards don’t seem to be respected.

I absolutely enjoyed every single meal at Bistro Nolah! First of all, I had no reservations and was assuming I could just show up and be seated as it might not be too busy on a Sunday night but to my surprise it was full! Regardless and irrespective of the fact that I was not expecting them to accommodate us, they were able to make it work! The service was great and the food was even better. Everything was so hot and fresh when it came out. We started with the Mac and cheese, fried chicken, jambalaya and gumbo. Everything was delicious, I found the gumbo a little strong on flavour for my preference but the fried chicken was decadent. Perfect amount of chicken to batter ratio, very fresh and delicious honey glaze to top it off. For mains, we went with the jerk shrimp grits and braised short ribs. Both were delicious! Lastly, for dessert we enjoyed the bread pudding which was also delicious! Overall I would go back over and over just for the amazing food and service. It was beautiful to experience a little bit of NOLA here in Montreal!

One of my absolute top spots on the island. From the warm, impeccable service (special shoutout to Chris), to the well‑stocked bar and spot‑on cocktails, to—most importantly—the magic coming out of Chef Richard’s kitchen, everything is a 10/10. Portions are generous, every dish hits exactly how you want it to, and I genuinely dream about the shrimp and grits. No notes.

*********Be warned. Went on Sunday for lunch, they only have brunch offered. No where on the website do I see it stating this. Went for food on their menu and was stuck with brunch/breakfast. Not impressed. Thank you for the response. But when I see a restaurant that is open from 10am to 14pm on a website, I would consider going at 12pm being lunch. So if you were to update your website to specifically say there is only brunch, there wouldn't be any mistakes.

13 years Nolah has never served Lunch on the weekend, Before COVID we were serving Brunch on Sundays, if you took the time to check the Website you would have seen we are not open for lunch.

"Nolah is a total showstopper! The interior is absolutely beautiful—elegant enough for a special occasion but with a warmth that makes you feel right at home. We started with the Sausage Gumbo, and the rich, dark roux was perfectly authentic. If you’re a fan of Shrimp and Grits, their Charleston-style version is a must-try; the mascarpone-infused grits are incredibly creamy. Masha loved her ribs, and my Buttermilk Fried Chicken had the perfect balance of tenderness and a heavy-duty crunch. We finished with the Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce (an absolute essential) and some airy, powdered sugar-dusted Beignets. It was easily one of the best Creole meals we’ve had. Highly recommended!"
