One of my absolute top spots on the island. From the warm, impeccable service (special shoutout to Chris), to the well‑stocked bar and spot‑on cocktails, to—most importantly—the magic coming out of Chef Richard’s kitchen, everything is a 10/10. Portions are generous, every dish hits exactly how you want it to, and I genuinely dream about the shrimp and grits. No notes.

*********Be warned. Went on Sunday for lunch, they only have brunch offered. No where on the website do I see it stating this. Went for food on their menu and was stuck with brunch/breakfast. Not impressed. Thank you for the response. But when I see a restaurant that is open from 10am to 14pm on a website, I would consider going at 12pm being lunch. So if you were to update your website to specifically say there is only brunch, there wouldn't be any mistakes.

13 years Nolah has never served Lunch on the weekend, Before COVID we were serving Brunch on Sundays, if you took the time to check the Website you would have seen we are not open for lunch.

"Nolah is a total showstopper! The interior is absolutely beautiful—elegant enough for a special occasion but with a warmth that makes you feel right at home. We started with the Sausage Gumbo, and the rich, dark roux was perfectly authentic. If you’re a fan of Shrimp and Grits, their Charleston-style version is a must-try; the mascarpone-infused grits are incredibly creamy. Masha loved her ribs, and my Buttermilk Fried Chicken had the perfect balance of tenderness and a heavy-duty crunch. We finished with the Bread Pudding with Bourbon Sauce (an absolute essential) and some airy, powdered sugar-dusted Beignets. It was easily one of the best Creole meals we’ve had. Highly recommended!"

1st time experience with my girlfriend and her husband. Was recommended by a co-worker and drove from the east end to try this spot. WOW!!! EVERYTHING was on point! The blackened catfish, the fried chicken and the Creole shrimp plates were extraordinary. The grits are so good, creamy and rich with a mascarpone cheese. I'm a critique when it comes to taste and quality. All 3 of us were in AWE. Aw wonderful experience for the taste buds. We shared the bread pudding with the bourbon sauce. OMG We will definitely be back for the terrasse in the summer 😊 No photos for food. We simply enjoyed the culinary experience !!

No complaints, we enjoyed everything we ordered! The server was very attentive and helped us with our order by recommending which dishes to take and stopped us from ordering too much! The cocktail I ordered was good (but forgot what it was called). Id definitely come back for a date night, or a girls night out here! It was such a nice and intimate place, not too loud and i loved that they also have weekly specials!

Simply delicious! From the entrées, to the mains, and finishing with the desserts you simply can't go wrong. If I were to criticize anything it would be their chocolate torte (-0.5 star), not very chocolatey (sadly a complete letdown) when compared to the Mississippi mud cake which was devine! Chris, our waiter was excellent! I wanted to go back and called to make a reservation and was informed that they only do reservations online and it requires a credit card to do so. (-0.5 star) 2025-05-02 Went back and had another good meal. Chris was again our waiter and was great! Even my children enjoyed the food! The staff are friendly. The only complaint with our meal would have been the fried chicken. It was super juicy, but not crispy at all. Update Went for another meal and it sadly did not live up to previous visits. Not sure we'll be going back.

D Pineault. You don't need to make a reservation you can take your chances and show up as we accept walk ins. In 13 years, we have never had any customer have their credit card hacked, the online reservation system is used world wide and is used in every major city. There is no 3rd party the reservation system handles the client’s information like any online service. And in regards to your comment about conflicting messages, there is no conflicting messages about charges, very simple again if you do not honor your reservation there is a fee, to be clear that means if you call, email, send a SMS, leave a message that you are not honoring your reservation the charge will not be applied as long as it is before your reservation time. If you are planning to honor the reservation then this charge is not an issue. And in the event that something comes up which can happen it still is not an issue as long as you notify us. There was a time we didn’t need to have measures like this but times have changed, we look forward to this changing in the future when we can get back to the honor system. If our employee sounded rude, we apologize for that, and it will be addressed.
