The staff at Hotel Horizon were friendly and welcoming, and the beds were comfortable, which made for a pleasant stay in some respects. However, I cannot give this hotel five stars due to several shortcomings, particularly when it comes to families with young children. The biggest disappointment was the indoor swimming pool, which was far too cold to be enjoyable. When a hotel offers an indoor pool, families naturally expect it to be warm and comfortable enough for children to enjoy, especially during colder weather. The breakfast was also underwhelming. While the selection may be acceptable, something as simple as keeping the boiled eggs warm rather than serving them cold would make a noticeable difference to the overall experience. Another serious concern was the structure of the bunk beds. The design includes sharp, pointed wooden edges that children can easily hit their heads against, creating an unnecessary risk of injury. Family-friendly accommodation should prioritize children's safety, and I strongly believe these beds should be redesigned or properly protected to prevent accidents. Unfortunately, despite the friendly staff and comfortable beds, these issues significantly affected our family stay. I would not recommend this hotel to families with young children, particularly those hoping to enjoy the indoor pool or looking for accommodation designed with children's comfort and safety in mind. With a properly heated swimming pool, improvements to the breakfast service, and safer bunk bed designs, Hotel Horizon could provide a much better experience for its guests.
