Fish and Chips were phenomenal!
What guests say about Bistro de la Baie
Bistro de la Baie seems to be especially appreciated for its waterfront view, convenient location in Tadoussac, and pleasant atmosphere. Many customers find the food very good and generous, with good value for money, especially the fish and chips, fish dishes, and certain specialties like poutine. Service is often described as quick, friendly, and attentive, but a few reviews also mention wait times, uneven organization, and less satisfying experiences with the welcome or the quality of the dishes.

Lovely meal and amazing scenery
Love that this restaurant is right on the water. The first night we had the fish and chips and it was delicious. We went back the next night and had the chicken paninis and they were very good. Both nights we had excellent servers who spoke decent English and were able to answer all our questions which we appreciated. They were also very nice.
Had a good lunch there. Nice potions of good food with a nice view of the marina. Great before or after a whale tour. Nice friendly staff.
Good place for lunch and dinner.
The fish and chips is soooo good! My wife and I shared a plate and we had plenty. Highly recommend. There was a wait list, but it's expected when food and atmosphere is that good.
Day 5 of our Quebec trip and probably the best meal we have had. Friendly service. The only restaurant so far that actually came back after a couple of bites to check on everything. Water with ice! What a concept. Crisp, cold beer. The fish and chips were one of the best I have had on either coast. Coleslaw was crisp, crunchy, creamy and vinegary. Portion was perfect. Poutine delish. Recommend for sure.
Stunning view and delicious food!
Great fish and chips less than a minute away from the pier. Definitely stick with the fish. We ordered chicken fingers for our young daughter and they arrived undercooked. They were clearly a store-bought, frozen variety. The fish and chips were very good, however, so go with those if you plan to eat here. Great views of the bay and harbor, with indoor and outdoor seating available. Staff is friendly.
Solid restaurant. But they ONLY SPEAK FRENCH. Food is nothing special, but its very pricey for the little quality. We had to wait probably 10 mins for a table and the servers were not that kind but it didnt really bother. I would NOT recommend it, if you have other options, cause most of them will be better. My salmon bowl was not seasoned at all btw, but very fresh.
Excellent food and excellent host. We had Fish & Chip along with Chicken Panini and both were good. Situated in good location just next to trail exit. The host was very helpful she even helped us by playing a role of French translator with our hotel manager. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This cove restaurant has a great view of the bay. There is a variety of food on the menu. The service was good but the patio is limited seating. Pet friendly on the patio.
The food is not good. The view is nice. Service is poor.
Firstly the place was welcoming and server was friendly and her English was very good so for us being from the UK great start, we saw there was fish and chips on the menu and thought we would try as we were right in the harbour. Well we shouldn’t have bothered, the chef clearly did not know how to cook the fish or he was using old oil, the batter was drenched in oil and my partners second bit of fish had a rubbery feel, waitress replaced it but that piece was exactly the same. They refunded half of her food and we left. Might of just caught them on a bad day.
