Fantastic bistro! Highly recommend for breakfast. It has such a nice and friendly atmosphere and it is perfect for people who are looking for a chill breakfast without the crazy crowds at the overrated La Buche one street over. I recommend getting a dish with the melon salad as it is sooo good! The ham here is delicious too!

What can I say? This place has absolutely incredible food! ❤️ The beef jowl is unlike anything I’ve ever had—definitely not your average beef stew! The pasta that came with it was just as flavorful. The pizza? Executed perfectly, with wonderfully stretchy cheese and fresh veggies. The escargot was rich, buttery, and delicious. To top it all off, the complimentary crème brûlée from their current promotion was the cherry on top, and the portion sizes are huge! The prices are very reasonable, and the service is incredibly warm and welcoming.

The food was not good at all. It was of very poor quality. Had some of the smoked meat sandwich and it was incredibly fatty. The French fries were not very good. My wife’s burger was average at best. Having said all of that, their maple cream brûle was excellent. Overall, very poor value for money.

Fantastic Food! We were in Quebec City for a few days in February and were so impressed the first time we went back again the next day (before our train). The staff are really friendly and attentive. We had the smoked meat sandwich and the classic burger both of which were excellent. Highly recommend!

Had dinner at 1640 Bistro and loved it! The duck leg with pasta was fragrant and delicious, the steak tartare was great, and the pizza—highly recommended by the staff—was amazing. The crust was flavorful and chewy, really stood out. Definitely a must-try if you’re in town!

Incredible cuisine. We got duck, beef and pasta. All dishes were incredible, Drinks were also just as good. Great service, atmosphere and music. Nothing to complain about, amazing dining experience.

Awesome experience all the way through. French fries are perfectly pillowy in the middle and extra crispy on the out, one of the best! Do yourself a favor and give them a try.

First time visiting Quebec City for Wintet Carnaval. Stopped here on a Saturday and had drinks prior to their kitchen opening for dinner. They were very accommodating and Jason the server was fenomenal. The drinks were on point and we had everything from espresso martini, mojito and old fashioned. For food I had the Snails cassolette a la bourguignonne and Braised beef jowl. Let me tell you the food was very good. I'm not a person to photograph the food, plenty of pictures on other reviews. If your visiting Quebec City give them a shot. I don't think they will disappoint.
