Visit was arranged by a friend who knows this place well and it did not disappoint. Being able to try two types of pizza was appreciated and encouraged. The cocktails were well crafted and added to the already positive experience. HIGHLY recommend if you are paying a visit to Montreal’s burbs.
Reviews / Ratings for Bernies Pizza Martini Bar
Great foot and atmosphere
I recently visited Bernie’s Pizza Bar and unfortunately left underwhelmed. The caesar salad was over-dressed, with unevenly distributed sauce—some leaves were drenched while others had thick clumps of dressing pooled at the base, making it unpleasant to eat. The cocktails were also disappointing. I ordered one with cranberry juice and ginger, but it barely had any ginger flavor. Overall, the drinks felt mediocre and not particularly well-balanced. As for the pizza, it was just okay—nothing memorable or exciting. There are definitely better options elsewhere if you’re looking for standout pizza. The space itself is quite small, and you shouldn’t expect to get in without a reservation. Even with one, we were given a poorly placed table right in the middle of foot traffic. As people squeezed past, they brushed against our table, dragged their jackets across our dishes, and even shifted our plates, which made the whole experience feel cramped and intrusive. Overall, not a terrible experience, but not one I’d rush to repeat.
We went for a group birthday party last night - which is always a good test for how a restaurant performs - and it was delicious! Very fairly priced group menu at $45 pp and included multiple appetizers like Caesar salad, crispy/spicy calamari, mini fried chicken sliders (my fave) and cheesy garlic buns. You get one pizza per group of 4 but you can do half/half for toppings and it’s a large thin crust pizza cut into squares so more than enough. We got the hot pep and the ricotta (nut-free) pesto and both were very tasty! The dessert was a the kicker bc I haven’t had a good old fashion large cookie freshly baked with an ice cream on top in years at a resto! Everything was really good and the vibe was on point. (Limited photos due to being busy eating!)
Martini!!!! Oh yeah !
Great customer service! Great ambiance. Delicious appetizers and pizzas. Great choice of martinis! Perfect for a night out with Friends/Family or even a date night.
Great service great food great drinks and great atmosphere what more can you ask for.
delicious
Been to Bernie’s multiple times for birthdays, hangouts, and random last-minute nights out. Always a go-to spot for food. It’s usually busy so definitely make a reservation, but it’s 100% worth it. Easily one of those places that becomes a regular.
The food was very delicious! The beef sliders and pizza were yummy, we got to do half white sauce and half pesto sauce which was very nice. The decoration inside is amazing and so is the service! Would definitely come again.
The food wasn’t what I expected. I would say the portions are big for what you’re paying but it wasn’t that different than other oven pizzas I’ve tried, and the Caesar salad was kind of bland. The garlic bread was the deal breaker.
Cancelled my reservation out of the blue
Good food and excellent service!
Nothing to complain about, the food was amazing, our table was really nice and we didn't even have a reservation, great vibe and the service was consistent.
Really cool atmosphere for a pizza place. Good food and trendy!
Pizza and drinks were amazing!!
The food was amazing and the whole vibe of the place is very nice. I really had a good time. I will be back!
Wow what a spot! The food was 10/10 thin crust pizza was delicious, that caesar salad was on another level !!! The crunch wow and I love me a Caesar salad we also had the truffle fries I really have nothing bad to say. The music was fabulous and our server was lovely !!! Will definitely be back
The best pizza I’ve had in Montreal. New York style. Vibe is also great!
So overrated and there are sooooo many better pizza spots in the west island.
Great food, drinks were good also, we sat outside, easy to talk. Friendly staff
Bernie's Pizza Martini Bar what can I say.. The West-Island needed a spot like this. Cool atmosphere, unpretentious vibe, straightforward menu, good food and drinks and excellent friendly service. I would recommend reserving if you want to be guaranteed a table as this place was still full past 10pm.
I liked the place but the food is average. 3⭐️ would be viewed as negative and not what I mean to convey. It’s just average. Drinks are good. The burrata dip is bland, barely any hot honey and no sign of the everything bagel seasoning. The pizza is ok, I wouldn’t place it in the top 10 that I’ve had. The Fun Guy pizza is tasty. They charged an additional $4 to add sausage - I’ve had an easier time finding Waldo compared to finding the sausage on the pizza. In summary, somewhat overpriced for what you get, I don’t regret going and I wouldn’t return. Service was really good.
Not really impressed with the pizza
Excellent food, excellent service, great music with an amazing vibe … 10/10
