I’m quite particular about breakfast because I believe the day starts with a good meal. I visited Ben & Florentine in Brossard around 8:45 AM. The restaurant wasn’t very busy, yet I waited more than 5 minutes at the entrance before being seated. Before I was seated, another staff member told me, “I’ll clean the space.” However, the waitress, Yunyun, told me to sit down before the table had been cleaned. After I sat down, the other staff member came and cleaned the table. I didn’t think this was handled properly and it gave me a poor first impression. The waitress did acknowledge me and said it wouldn’t be long while she was busy at the POS. Around 9:00 AM, I placed my order, and my food arrived around 9:08 AM. I also had to ask for ketchup and apparently, you won’t be offered water unless you specifically ask for it, which I found unusual for a breakfast restaurant. Unfortunately, the breakfast itself was disappointing. The food was very dry. The taste was okay, but honestly, I’ve had much better breakfasts elsewhere. Considering how important a good breakfast is to me, this experience simply didn’t meet my expectations. Overall, the service and food both fell short of what I expected. Not recommended based on my experience today.
