Really disappointed with my experience here. The chicken for the zereshk polo was actually good, but the rice was some of the worst I’ve had — it smelled off and wasn’t fluffy at all, making it hard to eat. The koobideh was also disappointing; it wasn’t juicy and tasted more like a burger patty than traditional koobideh. The one bright spot was the gentleman serving us, who was very nice and welcoming throughout the visit. Unfortunately, the food quality just didn’t meet expectations.

Service was good, food was average among Persian restaurants
The food was very nice. However, I had to wait for it a very long time, while the friends I was with all got their food already. They waited for me to get my food, but by the time I got my dish (after repeatedly asking the staff, who weren't very responsive or taking immediate action, in stead I needed to confirm my order twice), all their dishes had basically gone cold. No apologies, nothing even mentioned. We were with six and got a table cornered against a pillar, so that I couldn't see the person on the other side of that pillar. Very strange configuration for a restaurant. Next time I would order the food to be delivered.
Ordered the gheymeh on ubereats. It had barely any beef at all and was mostly just peas, which were also very hard and didn’t seem fully cooked.
We visited Montreal from Toronto a few weeks ago and tried Behesht, which was one of the best experiences we had in the city. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and the place itself was so nice and warm that it made me feel like home. The staff were incredibly kind, they even brought us tea without us asking. The girl with long black hair was especially friendly and welcoming. Overall, it was such a great experience!
Amazing food. Amazing service.
Everything was so good and fresh! I really loved that they’re vegetarian-friendly. And let me tell you the ashen reshteh was out of this world (the best I’ve had so far). The vegetarian fesenjoon was absolutely delicious too! The service was on point 👌🏽 Honestly, everything was perfect. Thank you to the whole team! 10/10
It used to be good but the koobedeh meat smells like lamb's wool is served uncooked to pretend to be juicy. Moreover, the Mirza Ghasemi also does not use roasted eggplant, but canned eggplant.
Tasty food and a nice place.
Food was great service was great we really enjoyed being there they are very welcoming
Food was mediocre, although being from Vancouver, I know my expectations are high for Persian food. Atmosphere was ok, I think we were there at their quieter time so it was pleasant. The staff member was very friendly and helpful. I was quite surprised by their price range as it was on the higher end despite the medium quality.
First time trying Persian cuisine. We went on a weekday, so the restaurant was calm with no big crowds. Atmosphere & decor: 10/10 Service: 10/10 Tea: 10/10 Food: 6.5/10. The lamb shank had too much tomato sauce and wasn’t very enjoyable. The kobebiahs were delicious they were juicy and tender. However both dishes were unfortunately not served hot. The soup was tasty and warm. The salad was also good.
Always good! 🫠
The food here is incredible and the restaurant looks amazing, but I had a bit of a 'yikes' moment. I ran into one of the cooks in the bathroom and they were wearing their culinary black uniform and apron inside the stall. It’s such a shame because everything else was perfect, but that’s a pretty big food safety no-no. Just wanted to flag it because the flavors and the vibe are otherwise top-notch! ⭐️⭐️⭐️
The dishes are absolutely delicious and full of flavor, with very reasonable prices. The traditional setting and Iranian architecture truly reflect the rich culture. The staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming, making you feel like a valued guest. Definitely an experience everyone should try! Thank you so much!
I am beyond disappointed with my experience here. While the food is one thing, the management’s conduct regarding the bill was completely unacceptable. Despite receiving no actual service throughout our meal, the manager stepped in and forced a 20% tip onto my bill. A tip is supposed to be a reflection of the quality of service provided and, above all, a choice made by the customer. Being coerced into paying a high gratuity when the staff was non-existent is unprofessional and feels like a shake-down. It is incredibly frustrating to be treated this way as a patron. I won’t be returning to a place that disregards customer choice and tries to mandate "appreciation" for poor service. Pros: None (overshadowed by the experience) Cons: Forced gratuity, lack of service, unprofessional management
I came here with my friends for my birthday. The quality of the food and the atmosphere were very good. I would like to thank Ms. Sara, who was very polite and the management was excellent.
Simply the best Persian restaurant in Montreal
We waited long, but the food was great!
Tipping is mandatory, not optional.
Consistently good food and beautiful ambience.
The food was delivered with a three-hour delay. When I first followed up, they said the driver had mistakenly marked it as picked up—but even after that, they still didn’t send it. There’s absolutely no sense of responsibility or follow-up. We ordered lunch, and it’s apparently arriving as a late afternoon snack—if it arrives at all, because it still hasn’t. Honestly, if it were possible, I wouldn’t even give this one star. Not to mention that sometimes they just leave the order at the door, and when we order hot food, it arrives cold
Nice creation and friendly atmosphere
Behesht is a respectable restaurant offering high quality food without the gastronomic 'pretense culture'. The decor is modest, warm and original. If you need sunlight, you will have plenty. I invited some friends there and we all appreciated the fesendjan, it was our first 😊. It's definitely a win. Thank you to the employees who contribute to the near elysian experience. Behesht, you won your spot in my Montreal restaurant Trinity 🥳
Great place! Food was amazing, well marinated and cooked! Dennis was our host and he was excellent!
