Food was fine, tasty and decent portion size, Definitely not authentic like the dum biryani. Couple of things which didn’t go well We had to wait long before someone came to take our order, despite indicating to people that we are ready to order It prioritise the online / take-out orders and made us wait quite long before we were served.
Reviews / Ratings for Bawarchi Indian Cuisine
Only go if you really crave extra spicy Indian food. serious test on your spice tolerance (Even by Indian standards.) good luck in the toilet the next day. Most Biriyanis and starters are the same you wont find a lot of difference in taste. And the only feeling you will get is the spice. If the food is extra salty, its mixing with the sweat from your forehead.
We recently had the pleasure of experiencing a remarkable culinary offering, specifically the biryani. Our selections included the Nawabi Paneer Biryani, Mutton Biryani, plain naan, and Korma. Each dish was prepared to an exceptional standard, delivering a truly delightful gastronomic experience. It has been some time since I have encountered biryani of such high quality. I wholeheartedly endorse this establishment.
Very tasty food and good service… staff are very friendly
Setting a high benchmark for Indian restaurants in Montreal.
The food is great but the employees need to improve on the skill.
If you visit this restaurant, you absolutely have to order the Lamb Korma. The meat was fall-apart tender, and the sauce had a rich, luxurious depth of flavor that was perfectly balanced. It’s easily one of the best versions of this dish I’ve ever had
My family LOVES this. It’s authentic South Indian food. I highly recommend the 555 shrimp and chilli chicken. As well as mutton ghost biriyani.
I wanted to like Bawarchi so bad as I heard good things about it and I was excited to try it. I ordered on uber a chicken tikka masala and I was so disappointed. There was absolutely no pieces of chicken besides 2. More chili and bell pepper than anything. Sucks.
Tried the curry leaf chicken, chettinad chicken curry and garlic naan. All tasted very authentic and delicious!
Amazing food and great service
The food is super delicious, full of flavors in big portions. The service and behavior of staff are amazing.
I had eaten here earlier and the food was good, so I came again. But today I ordered haleem and it was the worst I’ve ever had. The texture was very watery, like you had a little haleem and just added water to increase the quantity. It was also cold, which made it even worse. Honestly, it was a very disappointing experience. If the food isn’t good that day, it’s better not to serve it instead of giving customers something like this. You have a good reputation, so don’t ruin it by taking chances like this.I literally ended up wasting $20 on this haleem.
Great food Especially biryani. Staff n owner are friendly
I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Get the Shahi and Palanadu Biryani, they're DELICIOUS!! Place is always booming, but they don't take reservations (I'm pretty sure), so try to go when there's a seat open! UPDATE: Shahi Chicken Curry combo is BOMB
Overall great just portion of meat is very less
I ordered Paneer tikka masala, Garlic naan and Malbar parota. The food was really delicious. Perfect amount of spicy and sweet. One of the best curry I have had in Montreal.
You've really outdone yourself. This is absolutely delicious. Everything is cooked perfectly. The flavors work so well together..first time here for sure not last.. and staff is also so good
Montreal is known for its food and this Indian restaurant is a real find. I will be back!
The food is very well made, tasty and of great quality. It’s our regular place. Butter chicken biryani, bawarchi special chicken biryani, mutton ghee roast biryani and chicken 65 are our favourites. The only problem is during peak hours when the service gets really bad. The staff tries their best to attend to everyone but it’s very disorganised, everyone seems to be doing too many jobs. Even a little bit of organising and streamlining will improve the service greatly. As a result we prefer ordering at home more than dining in especially during busy hours.
One of the best Indian food I have had in Canada. The service was impeccable. We ordered baby corn dish which was the best. Amazingly crispy and sauce was mind blowing. We also had biryani and achari dal, both were delicious and great portion size. We saved it for lunch tomorrow. Overall, the service, portions, taste and most importantly pricing was outstanding.
All good
Delicious food! Friendly staff. The Garlic Naan is so good.
Food is very tasty. Biriyani portion is huge. The prices are reasonable.
Good food and service. The two-seater tables are a bit cramped. I tried their special Biryani and Gobi Manchurian with Aachari Dal and roti. Everything was tasty.
