Excellent seafood 😋
Reviews / Ratings for Bâton Rouge Grillhouse & Bar
Everything was absolutely amazing. I highly recommend.
We ordered the chicken tender platter, Baton Rouge burger platter and spinach dip. Wasn’t really satisfied with the food (very bland) the spinach dip was gross. The burger was the best option and even that’s putting it lightly
A very nice spacious venue with great service 😇😇 We started with shrimp tempura that was super delicious and then moved onto the main meals quickly. I had the salad while the rest of the group had salmon and ribs and each bite was amazing ❤️❤️ Our full compliments to the chefs for making such amazing food with huge portions made with so much attention and care 🙏🙏 The staff is also very amicable and always on their feet and make great conversations with everyone 😇😇 Cannot wait to come back to this 11/10 venue with family and friends and try other items in the menu ❤️❤️ Also Go Habs Go 🏒 🏒
New location is nice looking but more like a sports bar Noise level too much-can’t have a conversation with your table mates Bar area with the giant screen should be more enclosed to contain noise Won’t be back
Great food, was a tad bit busy but that's to be expected.
Great steak. Good wines. Excellent service. The lunch specials are great.
Always good as usual
A brand new restaurant with the waiting room the size of a house entrance... not sure who's idea that was. You have people waiting outside, some of which just outright left. We should have left with them! The service is extremely slow, waiters bringing someone else's order to our table and the food isn't good anymore. ~10 years ago, this place used to be a 5/5 any day of the week. Not sure why it got worse, but regardless, it's no longer worth it.
The new version of Baton Rouge on boulevard St. Jean was not the experience I was hoping for or one that I had become used to. Apart from the oddly bright lighting, the dining room decor is a blend of upscale dark colored factory & office grey setting. I wanted to savour a tasty bit of steak and of course their well baked potato to enjoy alongside that amazing gravy they usually serve. Well...the steak arrived with some very tired looking steamed vegies and a piece of beef that must have been wrestled away from the great Gretzky after a few periods of agile practice. As I shifted my attention to the baked potato, I indulged into the often well toasted and tasty potato skin after finding the potato a bit overcooked with an aged flavor in the skin itself. Maybe my taste buds were off but it will be a while before I return.
I am deeply deeply disappointed with the shrinkflation I experience tonight. I was genuinely shocked. I have been going to Baton Rouge since the franchise opened and they have never failed me on flavour and food quality. However, tonight the rack of ribs that showed up was significantly smaller than what they used to be and cost even more than before. I sadly will not go back ever again for a small over priced small rack of ribs. The chain should be embarrassed to offer such a devalued meal for such a high cost. Shame really what was a great meal will now leave you wanting more. Good luck going forward many won't care less and keep going I will not return.
Nice, new location. Service was great. And the food was good. Only issue was the temperature it was hot. We sat just behind the bar section and we sweat during dinner
Booked our reservation 2 weeks in advance. Arrived to be told there wasn't a table available and they tried to seat us at the bar. This is on a Wednesday evening. Explained that we booked well in advance and didn't want to sit in the bar. Finally got a both in the dining room. Steaks were poorly cooked (not done to order), veggies were sparse and uninspired. Place was way too loud to allow for conversation. Not impressed by their quasi-industrial decor. Really disappointing. At their previous location, the food and atmosphere were much better.
Delicious like always
I book a table for four people, for 4:30pm today. We got on time. We wanted to change tables, it none was available, and it was not an issue. The place is a new location, nicely decorated. All was good at that point. The problem was we waited till 5pm and we got no greetings from any waitress or waiter. No one acknowledged our presence, nor even offered a complimentary glass of water. A group of 6 walked in after us, and a waitress started to service them, and we were still invisible. This is when we déçu to leave, but before we left the place, we informed the employee at the reception desk about our intention. We ended up at The Keg, Pointe-Claire, and the difference was noticeable from the moment we walked in. Bâton-Rouge administration, something needs to be done. Customers walk in ready to spend a good time and a good amount of money, but this afternoon you lost clients maybe for good.
Ordered a filet mignon medium rare for myself and a medium done rib steak for my mother. Filet was pretty small and a little more rare than i would've liked. The rib steak though was way under cooked almost raw, and not to mention the size for a rib steak was a surprisingly small, thin piece of meat. Loaded potato was all potato and not enough sour cream/cheese/onion. Literally 3 bites and all the topping was gone and left with dry potato. Undercooked veggies (brocolli, cauliflower) In my personal opinion Baton Rouge is really not what it once was.. sadly.
Definitely an upgraded version if you’re aware about the new location change. Food is up to par!! Our waiter, Tasso gave us an amazing experience from welcoming us to sending us off! 10 out of 10 service too
Amazing food for a great price. Tasso, our waiter, was friendly and made sure we were having a good time by checking on us several times throughout the evening. It was definitely worth the 30 minute wait.
Over 30 min wait for our table despite having a reservation. No apology or acknowledgment by the staff. Once seated, the music was blaringly loud, could not hear my family speak. The food was disappointing. Completely bland, unseasoned vegetables and baked potato. Raw batter on chicken tenders. Crab cakes tasted like mystery meat. Two stars because the steak and ribs were well cooked.
Long waits (even if you have a reservation), terrible food
Great food and service. The new location is amazing.
Great food.
Lovely dinner witha good friend!! Excellent service by our waiter Matt!
We went to Baton Rouge on Friday around 9:00 pm as a group of five, and it was a great experience. The restaurant had a nice atmosphere, and we were seated without waiting The food was really good everything came out fresh, well-prepared, and full of flavor. Everyone at the table enjoyed their meals, which says a lot when you’re a group with different tastes. The service was also excellent. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the night without being overwhelming. Overall, we had a very enjoyable time and would definitely go back. Great spot for a dinner with friends or family!
New location, clean, good food, great service!
