Delightful but could do with some green vegetable options
Delicious and Beautiful atmosphere
Very good restaurant, great atmosphere with great service. If I am being picky the Ribeye although perfectly cooked did not have an aged taste. A small green salad with the fries would have been nice rather than being an additional price. it’s a $70 plate. You could say eating steak at a French restaurant is not making the most of French dining! The wine by the glass was excellent but slightly chilled which is not my preference for red. Half bottles would be a nice touch but I fined alone as I was on business. Dessert was superb. Overall a really good restaurant . $185 for one it should be!!
Everything about this place was great! The beef Wellington was worth the wait (50 minutes of cooking time), but with some delicious starters like beef tartar and oysters and some drinks it went by fast!
always have a great time and the atmosphere is cozy and warm, the food is amazing and never gets boring, the chef knows how to make it a memorable experience each time , truly one of the top restaurants in mtl
Excellent dinner and experience!
It was a sweet piece of Montreal to be savored & enjoyed with time ...compliments to the chef!! It was scrumptious!🤩
Exceptional experience: very historical building in Old Montreal, small lamp and flowers on each table, stone walls, great ambiance, very vibrant and welcoming from the minute you come in. Perfect for a tête-à-tête dinner, but without being too quiet or stuffy. Cocktails are original, food at our table of 4 was very tasty and well prepared (we loved the duck magret and the bavette), and wine list is high quality. Our server Justine knew her menu so well, took care of us very efficiently, and was very personable without being too intrusive. The host was super welcoming as well.
Excellent romantic meal in a charming restaurant. Waitress was very professional and friendly. The Winter salad with chicken liver pate and braised beef O.G. were killer dishes. Cocktails and the imposed two-hour dining limit were less attractive. I look forward to returning to Barroco.
Barroco never disappoints. Exceptional atmosphere and the service is always A++.
Barroco was spectacular. After the unfortunate mix-up with our reservation being cancelled on our anniversary, the team reached out and kindly accommodated us for dinner the following night. We were treated to a beautiful three course dinner with wine pairings for each course. Everything was delicious, generously portioned, and thoughtfully prepared. The space itself was beautiful, intimate, and cozy, and Alex and Sarah took wonderful care of us throughout the evening. We are so grateful we gave Barroco a second chance because it was absolutely worth it.
Truly magnificent place, amazing food, especially deserts, and authentic environment! Must do experience ✅
We remembered this place fondly from our last visit to Montreal, and returned to find it was even better than we remembered. The craft cocktails are delightful and the food was incredible. The atmosphere and service are cozy and friendly. Don't miss the mushroom parfait or the O.G. Braised Beef. This is a very special and memorable place.
Marc, the bar tender is fantastic!
It is always amazing at Barroco. My new favourite dish is the braised beef with celery puree. Yum!
The special drinks were delicious. The crusty halibut was one of the best fish dishes I have ever eaten. My husband enjoy his steak. The Octopus & russian salad was tasty. We ordered brioche & butter & only got one tiny roll to share. Disappointing for $9 Canadian dollars
Very fancy and top place for a date night. It is a dinner spot. Not suitable for breakfast or lunch. High end service and meals. We went here for a date night and had some steaks. The service was great. Very friendly server. Explained everything and made good suggestions. Dessert was also good. A good mix of french and spanish cuisine. We will be back for sure. Atmosphere was a bit noisy and the place is dimly lit.
My wife and I recently dined at Barroco and had a wonderful experience. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was absolutely delicious. What truly stood out, though, was the exceptional service. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived, and the staff made us feel genuinely valued. We will definitely be coming back!
I don’t live in Montreal or Canada even but each time I visit, I come to Barroco. The cocktails are creative (Paper Crane and Echo Chamber last night) and the food was delicious. Above and beyond is the atmosphere and attentive service. Florian was beyond nice and made the celebration of our niece’s graduation even more special.
The prime rib, best I have tasted. Stellar dishes and servers. Would omit the olive oil drizzle with chocolate cake dessert or compliment with a berry drizzle. Overall a beautiful ambient resto with great thoughtful creations.
Nice interior, delicious food, excellent service
the valentine’s day drink was perfect for the occasion 🤩
because zero stars isn’t an option If you’re looking for a truly unforgettable dining experience, look no further. My partner and I came here for a romantic night out and left with matching food poisoning. Nothing says “true love” like taking turns hugging the toilet at 3 a.m. 🥰
Our server was so knowledgeable and fun! Even though the food is high end, the atmosphere wasn't stuffy or exclusive. Cocktails were on point and they have great music
