From the moment you walk through the doors, Barroco wraps you in the most cozy, romantic, and warm atmosphere. Set in a beautiful historic building on Rue Saint-Paul, the exposed stone walls, dim candlelit lighting, and vibrant energy set the perfect tone for the evening. The food was nothing short of phenomenal. We started with the homemade brioche and the beef tartare—easily one of the best I’ve ever had. For mains, the short ribs melted in your mouth, and the Paella Barroco was rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Beyond the food, the bar program is incredible. The craft cocktails were expertly mixed, and the wine list offered fantastic pairings for our meal. Special shoutout to our server, whose warmth and timing made us feel like VIPs all night. Barroco is a total gem—do not miss this place when in Montreal!
