After reading mixed reviews, we decided to stop in for a late lunch to decide for ourselves. We were welcomed in with a warm greeting and opted to sit inside at the high tops. Our boys picked out board games as we browsed the beers selection. Musu, lager de riz, herman was a beautiful light golden that reminded us of Czech. All our food choices were spot on. Highlights of each: 1. Steak frites - warm peppercorn dipping sauce and crispy shoestring fries 2. Caesar salad- crispy bacon pieces, shaved Parmesan and tangy Caesar dressing 3. Beef tartare - a lighter take on tartare, thin sliced root chips 4. Fish and chips - deeply crisp outer batter (they way I like it) with sizeable halibut portion and really tasty dill tartar sauce. Prior reviews said fries were too salty but ours came unsalted. Fine by us to salt per our liking.

This experience was very disappointing and frustrating. We ordered calamari, coconut shrimp, steak frites, a burger, and fish and chips, and almost everything was a letdown. The calamari was ridiculously salty. If you are worried about kidney stones or a UTI, stay far away from it. The coconut shrimp had decent shrimp, but it was badly overcooked. The steak frites was the worst. It came with mostly vegetables, a tiny portion of steak, and both the steak and the sauce were extremely salty. The fish and chips were just basic and forgettable, definitely nothing special. The only good part of the night was the lady who served us, she was excellent. Unfortunately, another server (gay) completely ruined the mood. He had a clear attitude, did not smile at all, seemed unhappy with his job, and the way he looked at and served us was unwelcoming and uncomfortable. Overall, not an experience we would repeat.
