We had a reservation to celebrate our wedding anniversary and were really looking forward to discovering this restaurant after hearing such great reviews. When making the reservation, I had even noted that it was our anniversary and requested a booth if possible. We were seated and given menus, and we were actually ready to order fairly quickly. However, after more than 20 minutes without being acknowledged by a server, someone eventually came by and asked if we had been served. That’s when we explained that we had been waiting quite a while and were starting to consider leaving. Unfortunately, the response we received was essentially that we were “not obliged to stay and could leave.” What was most disappointing wasn’t just the wait, but the lack of acknowledgment or effort to recover the situation — especially given that it was meant to be a special evening for us. We ultimately decided to leave and celebrate elsewhere, where we were warmly welcomed and served promptly. It’s unfortunate because we genuinely wanted to enjoy the evening here and had chosen the restaurant specifically to celebrate our anniversary. We had even planned to extend the night afterwards by renting a room to make the most of the occasion, but the experience at the restaurant unfortunately changed the direction of our evening. I’m sure the food may be good, but unfortunately we never had the opportunity to try it because the service experience fell short of expectations.
