This was a truly serene space that was beautiful in every way. The spa guide was kind and helpful and entirely put me at ease. I appreciated how clean everything was. The experience was unhurried and peaceful from beginning to end. I could not recommend more highly. It was a perfect 2+ hour moment of peace during a fun filled weekend trip to Montreal. Once you walk through the doors, you will not hear a sound of the busy, beautiful and loud city of Montreal

What an amazing experience! As someone who doesn't drink beer very often, Bains Ninkasi made it worthwhile. Guillaume was very nice and attentive, and truly elevated the whole ordeal to the next level. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone stopping by Montreal!

I had a fantastic experience at Bains Ninkasi this weekend. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt calm and welcoming. The concept itself is so unique, and it really delivers on the experience. Everything was thoughtfully designed—from the clean, stylish space to the little details that made it feel special (like complimentary loofah scrubs). There are electric panels that slide down between the tubs for a more romantic or private evening, as well as the possibility of keeping them open for more sociable visits. The staff was also extremely accommodating and made sure I was comfortable throughout, which really elevated the visit. The treatment itself was incredible—both relaxing and fun at the same time. It felt like the perfect blend of novelty and genuine self-care. The beer was tasty, the aromas were perfect, and the “calm spaces” were a pleasant surprise. I left feeling refreshed, rejuvenated, and already thinking about when I can visit again. Highly recommend for anyone looking to try something different and memorable.

We were curious about the new "beer" spa that opened in Montreal and decided to book a duo session with treatment and a couple of other goodies. While the experience itself was good and could normally get a 5 star, there are a couple of easily fixable points that make me give it a 3 star instead: 1. To enter the building, you need to ring the bell for the staff to open it up for you, but as I believe there's only two staff working there (with 1 doing the bulk of the work), it takes quite a long time for you to be let in. I really can't blame the staff at all, but I can't help but feel like the place is severely understaffed and could benefit from having a full time receptionist OR a special buzz code system to let yourself in. 2. We were asked to leave our ID with them. Normally that's not that big of an issue, but when we left, the staff forgot to give us back our ID and we too had forgotten. Luckily we remembered right before closing time, returned later that day, and managed to get it back, but it took a while and could have been a dangerous situation if I decided to bring my car and didn't have my driver's license. There should be a stricter "checklist" for when a guest leaves or even better, NOT asking clients to leave their ID with staff. I'm not 100% convinced this is really required and there's more modern ways to manage "security". 3. We took the following package: charcuterie platter, full-body wrap and free glasses of champagne. The body wrap wasn't what we expected as it's just argile clay that you have to put on yourself. It's also weird that they recommend NOT rinsing after the bath to keep the benefits on your skin, but if you take the wrap, you WILL need to rinse everything off. I think a wrap like this works best if it's in a private room, but as this is a social spa, it's a little awkward and not recommended at all. 4. As for the free glasses of champagne, I don't think we received it at all. We're not a huge fans of beer, so my partner was rather disappointed that she didn't get her champagne. Overall in it's current state, I'd recommend passing by for the uniqueness of the experience, but I'd have a hard time wanting to go back unless they polish it up a bit more.

Our group of 11 had an incredible experience at BN. We essentially were looking for an unconventional, experiential and fun activity for a group of close friends. We're all a bunch of dudes and they provided a private booking so that we were the only ones in there. The aesthetics, design, cleanliness and beer were top notch. The team was incredibly responsive to our requests before coming. They also provided very clear instructions. Everyone absolutely loved the experience! Highly recommend.

My friends and I had a fantastic time here at Bains Ninkasi! I’m a big fan of different types of spas, and this was my first time at a beer focused one. Overall it was unique and fun experience, starting with the sauna and ice bucket, moving to the beer bath, then finishing with the relaxing during which some of my friends got the clay masks. We sampled some additional beers they have available and all of them were top notch. I’m not normally a fan of stouts, but the ones they offered were great. The attendant, Sam, was very helpful and attentive throughout the experience as well, was impressive seeing him manage the place by himself! Overall I’d definitely do it again, it well worth the price for a very relaxing, fun, and unique time!

My girlfriend and i loved it! The attendants are knowledgeable and very accomodating. The facilities are clean, organized and well built. The baths are a great temperature and great size for two people, plus the botanicals they put in the water are a nice touch. Finally, the drinks are cold and theres a great selection. As a lover of montreals many great spas, this an essential addition to the roster.

I am not normally a spa person, but it was a wonderful experience to share with my wife. And the Dieu du Ciel beer definitely did not hurt.

Wow!! What a unique experience!! 10/10 recommend. I’ve never been to any place like it. Total care from the moment you walk in, great sauna at the beginning, bath experience and relaxation at the end. Did not feel rushed AT ALL! The entire experience lasts about 2 hours! Fantastic! Highly recommend!!!!!

Overall really enjoyed the experience even with some minor hickups! The bath, the smells, the atmosphere and attention to detail is really warm, chaleureux, calming, the beer is delicious and honestly the house option is very light and refreshing, a great pairing! The woman who was working was working SO hard, a shoutout to her, what an amazing job staying on top of everyone's needs! -Some things to note for the owners for user experience: More hooks to hang towels. The counter by the bath gets wet. -Hay is not the best option for the little bed, it gets everywhere and seems a bit untidy. -A water station with some cups, especially in the starting area for when not in the baths -Encouraging people to talk more quietly. We were the with 3 other pairs, two of which talked out loud and kinda ruin the relaxing atmosphere And for the hickup : We were told to arrive 15 minutes ahead of time, we did and nobody was there, the door was locked, the bell not working. It was -25 and took a few attempts of calling to get through 10 minutes later, the owner was kinda aloof? The offered drinks were nice, but it's only when the nice lady who is constantly running around that anything was explained and handled. When we were ready to leave he was talking to two people and took a while to even acknowledge we were waiting. A little bizarre. Would love to go back and give it another try!

À labour of love. A niche personal project that ends up offering a rare oasis to its customers. A kind of space that respects stillness and subtle luxury that’s entirely rare in North America. This isn’t a spa in the usual sense nor an onsen. Somewhere in between. Small and cosy and cocoon-like relaxing, people solo or in a couple (or couple of friends) can enjoy a quiet (not necessary silent but respectfully low-frequency) almost two hours in a sauna and mostly marinating in a hops-filled hot tub. As well as in the small but relaxing lounge areas. Staff are extremely respectful and also attentive. You can have high-grade alcoholic or non alcoholic beverages (mainly a carefully curated beers but also cider, wine and rare bourbon) or nothing at all. And you leave feeling gently self respecting. A real Montreal gem even if it’s brand new. Highly recommended! The experience recalls a poem by David Whyte, about how the body and mind so need rest to understand each other : “The only part of the mind that can truly understand the body is the part of the mind that is, through silence and rest, able to be welcomed back fully into the body’s equally rested and gifted sense of presence.” This is the kind of space that can encourage such presence.

A downright amazing experience. The beer was phenomenal and I’m not even a big beer drinker. The chocolate & beer pairing is a must do. I also enjoyed the clay wrap option pictured and the charcuterie board. The aesthetics was meticulously thought out and well designed. I cannot wait to return next time I visit Montreal. I am just hoping they branch out into the states. Until next time! Cheers!🍻
