If you walk through the side/back street, you'll see a reassuring sight of empty bag of organic stone-milled flour, organic cane sugar, empty pints of locally made A2 cow's milk cream cheese and piles of fire wood. Round Top Bagel is like the Apple store of bagels, not only are they really tasty from the outside, the are also "designed" with intentional quality from the inside. The owner has true vision behind the service he's offering to every visitor whether you're a weekender or a local customer. Love this place!

This school of bagel is smaller, softer, sweeter and works so much better in a sandwich than a New York style bagel. Extra points for having toppings on both sides, heavily toasted, which is something all bagel bakers should follow. Smoked meat itself isn’t that outstanding and can get a little too salty and greasy towards the end. But overall very enjoyable and satisfying.

I honestly don’t quite understand the hype around this place. I get the feeling that part of its popularity comes from the fact that it’s one of the few bagel shops in the area, rather than the experience itself. That said, I do think there’s a lot of room for improvement. For starters, it’s a self-service setup, so I found the tipping prompt a little confusing, especially given that there isn’t much table service involved. The atmosphere also wasn’t really for me. The space feels more like a backroom with tables than a comfortable café or bagel shop, which is why I ended up taking my order to go. I also waited around 25 minutes for my bagel, which felt quite long considering the type of food and the self-service format. On top of that, the prices are comparable to some of the bigger, more established bagel spots, so I expected a bit more in terms of service, atmosphere, and overall experience. But I am aware that it is independently owned and is a small business, but still. I don’t think it’s a bad place, but I personally think the hype outweighs what the experience actually delivers.

Food taste great. Service was long, staff seems desoriented. The portions are not what they advertise. Not a lot of meat in our sandwiches. We got a tiny quarter of a pickle. The homemade soda is sweet but taste water 💦. Two Smoked meat bagels with two soda cost 50$ total. For 50$ one would assume that you will have a full stomach... Well don't expect much from this place.

An essential stop whenever I end up close to Sutton. Make sure I have a stop, have a bagel sandwich and get some for home. Very tasty with the perfect smoky flavor.

The bagels were fresh and warm. Nice selection of sandwiches. Was hoping to buy some smoke meat for 2 people, but it wasn't on the menu and the man refused to sell us a bit on the side.

Overall, it’s a solid spot if you’re looking for a quick bite in the area. The bagels are fresh, and at around $5 for a bagel with cream cheese, the pricing is reasonable. The café also has a nice atmosphere, making it a pleasant place to stop by. The service can be slow if you order a sandwich. If you’re just picking up a bagel, it will likely be much quicker. The bagels themselves are good, but nothing exceptional. They’re also smaller than classic Montreal-style bagels. One thing that disappointed me was that they don’t seem to toast bagels as requested. I asked for mine to be double toasted with cream cheese, but it came out as a fresh bagel from the oven rather than being toasted further. I’m ok with that but the staff say they don’t toast bagels, no problem with that. Overall, I’d come back for a quick breakfast or snack, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

genuinely best bagel i’ve ever had in my life, had the breakfast bagel, and as someone who never finds myself eating food that stands out enough to write a review, i had to write a review on this place. will definitely be coming back even if it takes hours to just get one bagel

Incredible smoked meat, bagels, and local artisan pop. The Ginger Ale sources local ginger and the flavour was amazing! Definitely recommend coming here for a lunch break.

Driving through Quebec. This was our first stop for breakfast. This was quite possibly the best breakfast sandwich that I’ve ever had, and that’s coming from a New Yorker. Wonderful food and very pleasant atmosphere! Truly so delicious!

I thought I had the best bagels in Montreal, Quebec, but after spending time in Sutton, I’ve discovered a world class product. The people. The service. The menu. Is unlike anything we’ve experienced.
