This review is long overdue as I’ve been in Montreal/Verdun for a year today. St. Lo was the first establishment I visited in Verdun and my first and only taste of Montreal bagels and I haven’t felt the need to try anywhere else! As a longtime barista and shift supervisor, I wholeheartedly agree with the reviewers of all of the great things about this place! Hands-down, this place checks off all the boxes of what a “neighborhood establishment” should be by standing out with their Customer Service (verbally and nonverbally) from their front-of-house staff. First, they’re all very attentive and constantly doing “lobby sweeps” of cleaning off tables, checking in with customers, and keeping the restrooms clean and coffee bar stocked. Secondly, it seems like each person has their own little circle of regulars, which is difficul to achieve on any team! Along with the managers/supervisors and the owner making their rounds. So lastly, I’d like to give extra flowers to our favorite St. Lo Staff, Jess! 💐 They always make us feel warm and welcomed by greeting us upon arrival and checking in on us during our stay. When we get a moment to chit-chat, their personality shines through and makes our visit even brighter! And when we’re on our way out, they always warmly wave us off. Thanks to St. Lo for setting the bar high in bagels and customer service! Grateful to be a neighbor!

Had a really pleasant experience here from start to finish. The ordering process was quick, the staff treated us kindly, and the food was very satisfying. The environment also had a nice energy to it. I’d happily return and recommend it to others.

Came here for weekend brunch with friends and really enjoyed the vibes, we sat in the outdoor patio section and it was a cold day so the staff offered comfy blankets which heightened the cozy atmosphere. Service was great, friendly and attentive. In terms of the food, I had the Pesto Benny and unfortunately could not taste any of the pesto - I also found the hollandaise sauce drowned out the dish.

Great food, lovely location! Unfortunately it wasn’t made clear the cash how expensive the sides are for the bagel meals. I was expecting a $15 purchase but the store-bought hash brown and second egg will almost double your total, so watch out. Wish they had been more upfront about it, or if it was easier to see on the menu.

This place was so delicious, I stopped by on my way to the airport. I highly recommend the Pesto Benedict, or really any of their benedicts.

We had to make a quick overnight trip to Montreal, in the morning we had breakfast at tuiti fruit near the hotel. On our way home we decided since we were in Montreal we had to grab a bagel. Google suggested Bagel St-Lo Verdun. I felt the bagels were a bit small for the price. I liked the texture of the bagels. I had the Italien Mortadelle, salami de gênes, capicolle, provolone gratiné, moutarde au choix She had the B.L.T Bacon, roquette, tomate And we bought 3 bagels and two lattes to go.

A true neighborhood gem and hands down my favorite bagel spot in Montreal. The coffee is excellent, and it’s easy to enjoy your order on-site or grab it to go. I’ve been coming here for years, and the team is always consistently friendly and welcoming. A relaxed, family-friendly place that really adds to the charm of the area.
