A great place with a great vibe and excellent service in Aylmer. I hadn't eaten there in years and was pleasantly surprised. Our waitress (Juliette) was very attentive and pleasant. Food was good and the vibe is really good. We will definitly be back!

Dining Experience at Elmer BBQ Overview of Our Visit Recently, my friends and I decided to dine at Elmer BBQ. Unfortunately, the experience did not meet our expectations for good customer service. Food Safety Concerns Two of my friends ordered shrimp dishes, and both became violently ill after eating them. My daughter also became sick at the restaurant, needing to use the washroom three times after consuming the shrimp. Another friend was unwell throughout the night following her meal. When I brought this issue to the owner's attention, she was argumentative and insisted that my daughter was already sick prior to eating, claiming that it takes three hours for food poisoning symptoms to appear after eating bad shrimp. Despite my repeated explanations that my daughter was fine before consuming the meal, the owner remained unapologetic and refused to offer a refund. Only after multiple discussions did she reluctantly agree to remove the meal from the bill, doing so with evident displeasure and without any apology. Quality of Food My own meal was also disappointing and below expected standards. I ordered a stir fry, which was drenched in a sauce that was not typical for stir fry—rather, it seemed like a BBQ sauce mixed with unknown ingredients. The chicken tasted old and previously frozen, making it unpalatable. Ultimately, I could not eat the chicken or the meal as it was swimming in the sauce. Customer Service and Staff Feedback The waitress was overwhelmed, having to manage the entire floor by herself, which affected the quality of customer service. She was the only one who apologized for the issue with the shrimp dishes, not the owner. The waitress also informed us that this was not the first occurrence of such problems and asked if we would consider returning. When we said no, she remarked that we were not the first customers to make that decision. Conclusion Based on our experience, we strongly advise against dining at Elmer BBQ.
