Food was good and herren hade a greath service i would recommend him as your server
This was third visit and last, starting with the food, the chicken brochette almost burned, the second time the souvlaki was raw inside, the first time the good but there's no service at all. There's two guys for the entire group, running like crazy , every time the same experience , from 12:00 we got served the food 2 hours and more later. It's not that the restaurant is bad but I don't think there's enough staff in the front and in the back. I'm so sorry but this is reality.
The food is very good with great prices. My waiter Gabriel made sure that we have a perfect night with some friends. I’ll definitely be back.
Our experience at the restaurant was disappointing. The salad was very bland, and the steak was not tasty at all, despite being advertised as AAA. Two people couldn’t even eat it. One person asked to swap the potatoes for fries, but they charged an extra $2 for a small portion. The filet mignon was okay, but not exceptional. Overall, the service didn’t help either, as the manager wasn’t available. However, they did offer us two free desserts as a gesture
Everything was delicious 😋
The food was delicious
I haven't been to Vieux Duluth in years. I was hoping for lamb but was disappointed to see it off the menu. I ordered a simple hamburger steak but was discouraged with a hard piece of meat. Nicolas was on the ball with another waiter to fix the problem. Chicken breast with more salad. Mom had chicken and shrimp. Great service. My mother was having a bad nosebleed and extra napkins and concern from everyone. Staff and other clients !!! Great and warm atmosphere. We'll be back soon !!!!
5 STARS EXCELLENT MANAGEMENT SERVICE I want to thank James the Manager at the Vieux Duluth Laval Restaurant for his superior management service!
I don’t write negative reviews lightly — especially not about a place I genuinely love. I go to the LaSalle location 4–5 times a month and they treat us like absolute royalty every single time. Consistent portions, friendly service, perfectly cooked food. I’ve never even mentioned that I create food content because they don’t need to know — they treat everyone that well. Unfortunately, the Laval location was a completely different experience. I went specifically for the lunch special… and was told it didn’t exist. That was already confusing. I ordered the shrimp plate instead and paid $28 for what was honestly underwhelming. The shrimp were barely cooked, the portion of salad was tiny (especially compared to the “mountain” you get in LaSalle), and the potatoes were small, hard, and felt cheap. Even the buns — two small pieces — felt stingy. My friend ordered the chicken and it arrived looking overcooked and unappetizing. It genuinely didn’t look like something you’d want placed in front of you. Service-wise, the waiter was hard to find and not attentive. The hostess wasn’t welcoming, and the restaurant itself felt awkwardly quiet and lifeless. I’m not posting this on social media because I respect and love Vieux Duluth as a brand. But this specific location missed the mark entirely. If you’re craving it, I highly recommend going to LaSalle instead. Night and day difference. Sadly, I won’t be returning to the Laval location.
Breaded Fish had bones in it, no sauce. Served calamari with ketchup. The worst Greek restaurant I’ve been in my life. Usually Vieux Duluth franchise is good. Just go to Casa Grec down the street which a million times better. The interior smelled like restaurant closed for months. At this pace will be bankrupt very soon.
Very good food for the price, good service. Very service, food, you can bring your wine. Just negative is very packed.
The butterfly shrimp plate is by far my favorite meal. Love the salad and the dressing, the potatoes. Prices are very fair.
Lots of room
Such a beautiful place! The quantities are so generous and the food is so tasty, went there about 3 months ago, and will be going again for Christmas! (Service is really quick too, food came in less than 40 minutes for a table of 15)
I haven’t been in years. Last night I was invited to a birthday dinner with 30 guests. I didn’t have high expectations. From the moment our waiter Alex introduced himself, we were blown away. The food was exceptional and the service was next level. Will definitely be back.
It was very fresh the scampies.. french fries were good too.. and service was excellent
Great place, love the food and the service, highly recommended
Nicely redecorated. Relaxed atmosphere. Good food and great service.
