Every element of our meal was wonderful. We look forward to returning to Au Comptoir MarCel.
Excellent restaurant must go!
What a gem! Portuguese-inspired fine dining in a cozy, relaxed environment. We have been multiple times and we have enjoyed every single bite we’ve eaten. Staff is super friendly and very knowledgeable about their well-curated wine selection. This time, we did the tasting menu and loved it! The kitchen was super accommodating of allergies too!
We visit whenever we are in Magog. Fantastic food, staff and so much fun to watch the chef at work.
Food was good but the seafood was a bit too fishy. Great value for cost & service definitely made the experience.
What a great experience! We went there for Valentine’s Day and everyone in the staff was amazing, especially the maitre d. The amuse bouche was a real treat with the homemade focaccia straight out of the oven. Started out with oysters and salad. The oysters may not have been the best I’ve ever had, but the mignonette was just right and the salad was fresh and well dressed. We both went with fish for our mains, mine grilled, hers with a miso broth. Everything was fresh, inventive, nourishing, and most importantly delish. Just a really great experience. We will be back!
Lovely setting, very friendly waitress/hostess, imaginative menu. We go back every time we are in Magog
Wonderful experience. Great food; many desirable menu items. Pleasant environment. Great service.
Enjoyed it so much we ended up eating there for 2 of our 3 nights in Magog. Ordering the tasting menu - and not knowing what as coming out - was a highlight of our trip.
a marvelous new year's eve feast
Wow. A truly unique and cozy dining experience. The mixology and food were delicious. Highly recommend you make the time to visit.
So glad we dinner here! Everything on the menu was tempting, but the grilled sardines and seafood in lobster bisque were especially delicious. My husband does, however, note that the pastel de nata is nothing like the ones he eats in Portugual... Service was prompt, very informative and friendly. Highly recommended!
Amazing place with incredible food and service. Highly recommended!
Very special place. Food was incredible and Stephanie was superb! Can’t recommend it enough!
This place is nice but not worth the price. I’ve been to multi-course, gastronomy dinners before and this one was not at the level of what they were charging. We took the “discovery menu”. The portions were too small, and we didn’t leave full. It was, about 200$ for two people after tax and tip, without any wine!! Not worth it. If you go, I would just take a regular meal. The flavours were good.
From the moment we entered, we knew this was going to be a superb experience. Service was phenomenal. The kitchen was able to adjust the tasting menu for pescetarians and it was all delicious. The wine was a perfect accompaniment. We can’t wait to come back again!
It was an outstanding culinary experience with friends. Food, service, and wine were excellent. Looking forward to going again.
