Astoria Bistro Botanique is one of my favourite restaurants. The service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant gives the impression of an indoor courtyard - greenery, a feeling of privacy and quiet at your table while others are enjoying the same. This time I had the grilled cheese jalapeño popper and tomato soup. A little crunch, a little zing and comfort food all in one - so so good!

Great experience overall! The appetizer (bao) was excellent, dinner (risotto and gnocchi), dessert (cheezecake and brownie), hot chocolate and mocktail were all delicious. The service was great. I'm vegan, but my husband is not and he really enjoyed it all. The only issue is that there wasn't much heat inside. It was pretty chilly where we were seated. Staff set up an electric heater which helped, but it was still chilly. It was a very cold night out so that didn't help.

Wonderful experience at this all vegan restaurant and cafe. We got food to go from the cafe but we definitely want to return for a sit down meal. Wide assortment of vegan baked goods, fresh sandwiches, salads, and bowls and other frozen take away options too. Friendly and helpful staff (in French or English). Some gluten free options too! Hot and cold drinks, plenty of options! Great atmosphere and lots of seating. What a great spot! We'll be back!

I have been coming here since they opened and I don’t intend on stopping. So many delicious vegan options and they speak to a wide variety of dietary restrictions too - nut-free, gluten-free, and soy-free meals are all available. What I LOVE about Astoria is they have plenty of “comfort food vegan” options. For those who loved the taste of omnivore dishes but adopted a vegan/vegetarian lifestyle for other reasons, you don’t have to compromise. French onion soup, buffalo mac and cheese, chicken and waffles, and (pictured) kimchi fries with a lion’s mane “steak frites” are just SOME of the wonderful dishes I’ve enjoyed at Astoria. Lovely atmosphere, courteous and attentive service, tasty drinks and delicious food. The kimchi poutine and the green curry were both utterly excellent. Fantastic spot all around!

Service was excellent. Staff was right amount of friendly but not too intrusive. Food was very good. We shared the arancini and tacos, each had a main and dessert. Atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. There were many different types of groups there, from couples to families and friends, it had a very easy feeling. I look forward to trying their brunch next time!
