Used to be decent a few months ago but something has changed. Staff does not pay attention and are not service-minded, they forgot what we ordered within minutes even though we were the only ones in the restaurant. More focused on talking to themselves than taking care of the customer. The food quality is also worse and doesn’t feel as fresh anymore, especially the chicken is extremely dry. It used to come with pita but both that and hummus was missing, so not only is the quality worse but also missing things that you usually would get. Would not return again and we used to go at least once a month.

If you’re looking for the best shawarma experience in town, Amir Griffintown is the place to go. The food quality is outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and consistently delicious. The staff are amazing: welcoming, friendly, and genuinely generous, which makes every visit even better. The portions are incredibly generous, so you definitely get great value for your money. Honestly, forget the other spots—this is hands down the best shish taouk in town. Highly recommended!

I have visited Amir several times in person, and my previous experiences were always positive. That is why today’s situation was especially disappointing. I placed an order, and neither the delivery menu nor the in-store menu indicated that chicken dishes were unavailable. I waited 30 minutes before being informed that my order could not be prepared due to the lack of the main ingredient. On top of that, I was asked to cancel the order myself and was warned about possible issues with receiving a refund. This is completely unacceptable. Customers should not be responsible for internal inventory issues or the failure to update the menu. As a result, my dinner and evening were ruined. As a returning customer, I expected a much more responsible and professional approach. I would appreciate some form of goodwill compensation for the inconvenience, and I trust measures will be taken to prevent similar situations in the future.
