Very good matcha latte and nice interior, but it definitely feels very hectic and busy. There was a bit of a line and a bit of a wait during a weekday lunch
What guests say about Amea Café
Amea Café is often described as a spacious, beautiful, and pleasant place to work, study, or chat, with a cozy and varied atmosphere. The food, desserts, and coffee generally receive good comments, especially the brunch and certain pastries. However, several people mention wait times, inconsistent service, and sometimes noise or laptop rules that can be bothersome. It is a good choice if you are looking for a lively café with a nice atmosphere, but less ideal if you want quick and quiet service.

Had to wait 5 mins to order a matcha even though there was no line and the staff was just talking and laughing while avoiding eye contact. Then the iced matcha itself had chunks of matcha powder. If im paying 10$ for matcha at least blend it well. The staff, service, and food at the food section is great though. The drinks staff gotta lock in. This is my first ever review on anything bc it was just that bad.
The venue is beautiful, the service and coffee are ok!
The dessert and ambiance is the best. But the food during lunch is really not that good. But then again, the place itself makes up for the food. Have a coffee and a croissant stuffed with strawberries jam and you'll be hooked :)
It was nice. The tarte was yummy.
It’s an amazing place one of the best cafés in downtown. They have a variety of food and drinks. You can go there to work on your laptop or just chill.
Eh, it's OK. Pricey, the pictures hype it to more than it feels once there. Still nice. I'd go back to give it another shot.
This has got to be the best cafe Montreal has to offer. I came here on my first day in the city and have come back every single day since. The food is truly incredible! Also, the staff are very friendly and can speak both English and French. My favourite item on the menu was the shakshuka but the avocado gravlax toast was a close second. I would recommend this cafe to anyone visiting Montreal.
Very good
The quality and the presentation of the food is absolutely stunning. Many other desserts and plates are instagram worthy of pictures. The day that I went the restaurant or cafe was busy. I just wish they would have provided more of a service environment in the sense of serving clients at their tables. Again, the food was great.Excellent value for the quantity of food as well
Nice place. Not the quitest but has a fancy appeal
I had such a lovely experience at Améa Café ☕️ Everything was perfect from start to finish. The food was absolutely delicious, the beetroot latte was incredible, and the pastries were just amazing! The atmosphere is warm and coz. A perfect spot to work, study or enjoy quality time with friends or family. Highly recommend this place
Amazing vibes for brunch with friends or a productive work/study session. +1 point cause there's a plenty of space so you likely won't need to wait to find a table. It gets a bit noisy during the peak time but I still enjoyed the lively ambiance and the 'healthy yet delicious' menu. Service was a bit sluggish (30min+ wait), but the complimentary cannoli was a classy touch that made up for the delay. Overall, a solid spot worth returning to.
Good food and a great vibe. The only downside is the coffee. If you order from the brunch menu, be aware that they serve the coffee immediately after you order, but the food arrives much later, which means your coffee gets cold before you can enjoy it with your meal.
Great experience overall. Fattouch salad was meh. But everything else was good!
Went for coffee, very nice place :) The beetroot latte is really good; a must-try!
Second time coming here! Its so calm and pretty. Great for a quick bite or sitting and working on your computer. Young people working and people of all ages catching up. Some table have no computer hours between 12:00-2:30, but there are tables available to move to!
Very disappointing first experience and customer service. Will not return.
Love the cozy decor inside, the hanging plants and ceiling lights really add to the experience. Lots of tables and seats to chill, hang out or do work. I ordered an iced matcha latte and it was nice and refreshing, not too sweet. Service was busy but very efficient. I like the restaurant pagers they use to notify you when your order is ready.
Being alone or with friends, amazing place
Best place to work/study in MTL
Gd place to work, study or meet some friends. Ambiance is nice and it is spacious.
I cannot believe it hit the mark on all counts: the desserts, coffee, ambiance, service. Truly a luxury experience.
To top top
Beautiful study spot with amazing food to get me through finals. It’s a bit pricey, but so is everything nowadays. The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous and all the pastries looked incredible! I came on a Sunday just after opening and stayed all day until closing at 3. The place was packed the whole time! I had the shakshouka. The crispy chickpeas and pomegranate seeds on top really put this over the top. So so delicious and very filling.
