Very disappointing first experience and customer service. Will not return.

Love the cozy decor inside, the hanging plants and ceiling lights really add to the experience. Lots of tables and seats to chill, hang out or do work. I ordered an iced matcha latte and it was nice and refreshing, not too sweet. Service was busy but very efficient. I like the restaurant pagers they use to notify you when your order is ready.
Being alone or with friends, amazing place
Best place to work/study in MTL
Gd place to work, study or meet some friends. Ambiance is nice and it is spacious.
I cannot believe it hit the mark on all counts: the desserts, coffee, ambiance, service. Truly a luxury experience.
To top top
Beautiful study spot with amazing food to get me through finals. It’s a bit pricey, but so is everything nowadays. The atmosphere is absolutely gorgeous and all the pastries looked incredible! I came on a Sunday just after opening and stayed all day until closing at 3. The place was packed the whole time! I had the shakshouka. The crispy chickpeas and pomegranate seeds on top really put this over the top. So so delicious and very filling.
This place has its own unique atmosphere, delicious cuisine and pastries. It is a good place to work on your laptop or spend time with a friend. Sometimes it’s too busy and noisy so not very comfortable to talk.
The place is nice, the server was friendly, the pastry good. My only issue is that it's a very popular space to work and my friend was looking for a place to plug in his laptop. There are three tables like this with plugs on the top, but then we noticed that the tables aren't connected to anything so the plugs don't work, which is weird. However, I also saw a woman with her tiny dog sitting there and everything that I've seen says that Québec law forbids dogs inside eating establishments unless it's a service dog, and I saw this woman walking her dog before finding a place to sit
My go-to place for coffee and relaxation time in Montréal. J'adore la variété de l'endroit. You can make it looks like a new place every time by sitting in a different area 🥰🧡
Nice place, good food
Horrible. I went at 3 and they close at 4 and they didn't have anything. I totally understand if they are out of baked goods and some food but they had nothing they were sold out of all sandwiches pizza and pastas. It was such a let down if you want food you have to go so early because even thought they say they are open until 4 they literally aren't
Beautiful ambience and the overall service is amazing. Recommend- Flat white ❤️
mea Café is one of those polished, design-forward café-restaurants that leans more toward a “high-end cafeteria” than a traditional coffee shop. Located inside the historic Maison Alcan, the space is a standout: large, bright, with high ceilings and a refined, almost architectural feel. The food is Mediterranean-inspired, with a menu that goes beyond pastries—Roman-style pizzas, salads, vegetable dishes, and brunch plates. Execution is generally strong, with good ingredient quality and clean presentation. Pastries and desserts are a highlight, although consistency can vary depending on the item. Service is casual (order at the counter, food brought to table), and the place is clearly optimized for a mix of use cases: quick lunch, informal meetings, or working sessions.
Large, open area. We went for brunch on the Saturday of Easter weekend so it was busy. Our group of four sat at a long table with other groups. You order at the counter, then pick up your coffee when it’s ready and food is brought out to you. Cashier was friendly. We ordered the vegan Caesar salad, chicken pesto sandwich, prosciutto caprese sandwich and the cheese pizza. We all enjoyed our food. The side salad with the sandwiches was very tasty - loved the vinaigrette and the fresh ingredients. The pesto in the chicken sandwich did not have much basil taste but overall the sandwich was delicious. We will return every time we visit Montreal.
Very bad service. The hostess lied to us saying there is no more chicken sandwich cause they were closing in 15 minutes. Then comes a guy after me orders a chicken sandwich and was able to get it. I talk to the host, she says its not my problem
Yellow caesar with like 10 slivered almonds :/
Their pistachio latte is the best. However the service is not the best. They don’t smile at the counter or when they deliver food to your place.
Great coffee. However my order, the Jerusalem Bagel was unfortunately inedible.
A good and fancy atmosphere with average prices that are affordable.
Wanted to check out this place for studying and I didn't realize how extravagant it would be! There are soo many seats with a big European vibe. The pizza I got was very tasty along with my matcha latte, but nothing too special, although they do serve the food to your table. I would definitely come back here to study and have a sip of coffee
Pagers to let you know when your food/drinks are ready. Coffee was good, seating options were incredible.
I’ve been coming to Amea Café for about 2 years now and have always loved the vibe, which is why this experience was disappointing. Today, there were only two of us, but we were sitting at a table for four because we both had food, drinks, and our iPads out. There honestly wasn’t enough space for us to sit directly across from each other without it being cramped. A staff member came over and asked us to move and sit together, even though it was clear we had everything set up and were actively using the space. I completely understand that it’s a busy café and people come here to work, but when tables are already limited, asking customers to rearrange mid-meal like that felt unnecessary and, to be honest, a bit rude. I’ve always enjoyed coming here, but this interaction definitely changed the experience for me. I think there could be a better balance between managing space and respecting customers who are already settled.
Amazing café with so much space to study and hang out. My new favorite café in Montreal 💗
