I recently visited this coffee shop with a friend, and it was one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we placed our order in English, the barista deliberately responded in French. I understand that some people prefer speaking French, but the way they handled it felt intentionally rude. There were three baristas—one man and two women—and a manager. While making my coffee, they openly stared at me, laughed, and joked among themselves, right in front of me. We had placed two orders, and they only made one. I waited patiently, only to notice them making faces and treating me like I didn’t belong. It took the owner intervening for them to remember the second order, which they handled with the same careless attitude. To make matters worse, while everyone else in the lounge had proper cups, we were given take-out cups—even after confirming we were dining in. It was hard not to notice the blatant disrespect and RACIST behaviour. The staff acted lazy, unprofessional, and downright hostile. I DO NOT recommend this café to anyone, especially non-French speakers. The staff were not just unfriendly—they were openly RACISTTT. Easily the worst coffee shop experience I’ve ever had.
