Staff were fun and interactive, food was very creative and fun, portions were very much amuse-bouche size, but many courses. Fun puzzle to solve, lovely art and lights. The AI speech from the painting could be faster though. Justin was delightful. Be sure to make your food choice between vegetarian and meat before you go as the food portions are all pre-prepared. Not accomodating for some food allergies FYI.
Reviews / Ratings for 7 Paintings - Montréal
Such a fun and different experience in Montréal 🎨✨ The mix of art, storytelling, music, and food made the whole night feel immersive from beginning to end. Definitely more than just a dinner — super memorable and worth trying at least once!
The whole experience was nice, but for the price, some of the food could have been better and lacked creativity especially the raw vegetable dish with the salad sauce painting concept. That particular dish was the downside of the experience for us.
Cannot recommend at all. The concept has so much potential ! But the execution is lacking on every step. Probably the second bad review that I leave of my life. But I had too. I would pay max 60 $ for this and would bring a child. He would like it more. service was good. food Horrible, and animation childish and shallow. You will not learn anything about art.
Awesome food and place
The evening was a unique experience which used all our senses, including being educational. I followed the instructions previously which added to the various surprises. The food was excellent, but not Michelin star. The staff were professional,& dedicated to providing a fun experience. Justin was our waiter & I can't say enough about him. He was personable, knowledgeable & efficient. I would do it again with a different set of paintings. The unique experience.
I was gifted a voucher for the 7Paintings dining experience for my birthday and went in excited for something unique. While the overall concept was fun and the staff were warm, welcoming, and attentive, the food was unfortunately underwhelming. The portion sizes were exceptionally small, and one course was simply a bowl of raw vegetables, which felt particularly disappointing given the nature of the experience. I took the vegetarian option, and considering it was the same price as the meat option, I expected a little more. To add to the disappointment, I was shocked to be presented with a fixed $75 service charge at the very end, which felt excessive given the quality and quantity of the meal. Overall, enjoyable service and atmosphere, but the food and unexpected additional cost did not meet expectations.
Great experience! We had fun and food was really good. Kids even had their own menu so they could enjoy too.
We had an absolute AMAZING evening! We were not sure how the show would be because the pictures and videos do not serve justice to the experience. I would highly recommend going. It would be ideal in a group of 4-6 persons.
Fun evening
For the menu, some dishes really impressed us, while others were disappointing. We appreciated the creativity and playfulness of the raw vegetable dish, but within a 7-course experience, it didn’t quite meet the level we expected. The final dish was the biggest letdown. While we liked the artistic presentation and concept behind the “painting,” the meringue itself was overly sweet and lacked depth, essentially just a block of sugar. It didn’t feel aligned with the quality of the rest of the meal. Unfortunately, since it was the last course, it left a lasting negative impression. That said, everything else throughout the experience was very good.
The food menu and the customer service were perfect. The drink menu could be reviewed, especially the drink pairing. It was not up to par with other similar experiences or price points in other restaurants I have tried in the past. Also, an experience in French on some nights would have been a great since I had to go from coming with my stepparents to only me and my boyfriend because of it.
This place did a number on me. To the point where I’m leaving a review which I don’t usually bother to do, but this one needed to be left. Dont ever trust an instagram experience like 7 paintings again. At 400$ for 2 people (which they tell you the price jn sdvance) I’m expecting top line cuisine from A-Z, but instead, they gave me 2 desserts that looked like they were of the quality of village grecque’s. Not impressed whatsoever. The carpaccio was tasteless and the creativity of the ingredients within the dishes for the price you’re paying, with the exception of the meat, was lacking heavy. Im sure they’ve thought before that: “ if we have an immersive enough experience, they won’t mind the food as much”. Well not in my case. The quality of the food did the opposite and put a sour taste in my mouth about the experience.. The service was great, friendly, professional, smiley and always refilling my water, like always. The staff you got right. The graphics were cool and it was original. Not worth it for the price you’re paying though. I’m pretty disappointed. The view is worth it!! For like 10 seconds..
The overall experience didn’t justify the price. While the concept and immersive atmosphere were interesting, the quality of the food was disappointing and fell well below expectations. For what they’re charging, the food should be much better. Either the pricing needs to be adjusted, or there needs to be a significant improvement in food quality.
I found the dinning experience original, creative and fun. A great date night! I also gearly appreciated the team's attention to my food intolerances, permitting me to fully enjoy the 7 course meal without stress. It was an enjoyable evening.
go on a 7 entree journey of the most famous artists in the world narrated by Mona Lisa…
Such a fun and unique experience. The atmosphere, the storytelling, the whole concept… well done. And a special shoutout to Justin, who was the absolute sweetest and made the night even more memorable.
The experience is unique and worth it for that specifically. Don't expect amazing food but it does taste really good. Service is ok but I find the don't have enough people for the amount customers served which causes some en even and sometimes disrupts the immersive experience.
7 Paintings was… kind of a mosaic. The food didn’t really land—either too simple or trying too hard—and overall it felt more kid-focused, even with an adult menu. You’re seated with strangers, definitely awkward at first… but somehow we ended up becoming friends with the people next to us, which was the highlight. Huge shoutout to Justin—he was awesome, totally got the vibe, and honestly made the whole experience better.
Perfect date night place❤️ Unique experience
Great place to relax and enjoy a meal.
Great experience!
It is not at all as you portray it online. The portions for the Montreal show were not even quarters of what the videos of other locations show. For a total of 500$+ paid? Not worth it at all. Overhyped and overpriced. We were scraping sauces with a carrot? And half a cucumber? We were given a nacho with sauce as a first course? It was a fun concept, a once and done experience but unfortunately not well organized, not fairly priced and definitely not rewarding.
A very unique and memorable dining experience. 7 Paintings in Montréal stands out for its creative concept, combining food, storytelling, and art into one immersive evening. It’s definitely not your typical restaurant, which makes it exciting right from the start. Each course is thoughtfully presented and tied into a specific theme or “painting,” which adds a fun and interactive element to the meal. The dishes are creative and visually appealing, and you can tell a lot of effort goes into both presentation and concept. The atmosphere is intimate and engaging, especially if you enjoy trying something different or sharing an experience with a group. It feels more like an event than just dinner. That said, the experience may not be for everyone. The pacing can feel a bit long at times, and for the price, some dishes are more impressive than others. You’re really paying for the overall concept as much as the food itself. Overall, a great spot if you’re looking for something out of the ordinary in Montréal. Fun, creative, and worth trying at least once.
The full experience was amazing. We enjoyed the interactive visuals, creative acitivites, and tasteful food. TBH, I expected the food to be mediocre but to my surprise, it was wow!
