Greatest steak in Mtl hands down! Would recommend the tomahawk. Went on three occasions, some variability, but overall amazing aged steak! Vast selection of surfs and turfs, with occasional live music and a beautiful decor

They have way too many tables and we were at one next to the door with a cold draft. Had to ask twice to be moved to an adequate table. Most of the food was cold when it came out, Slow Roasted beef rib was slimy and wet while my wife's salmon was cold and tasteless. French fries were very oily and overpowering. Felt very bad saying anything else because of how they were looking at us because we insisted on changing tables. It was a very disappointing night out on Valentine's. We have been a lot to high end restaurants, here they'll charge you like one but their food isn't even close like one. Won't be going back

40 Westt is the epitome of fine dining. The food was of exceptional quality and bursting with flavor, effortlessly transporting you away from your everyday worries. For an appetizer, I indulged in Louisiana grilled oysters. Each bite was a delightful symphony of textures, with the parmesan and garlic butter creating a harmonious dance on my palate. The main course was a tomahawk steak, beautifully presented and cooked to perfection. The buttery, succulent meat was so rich that I couldn’t help but sing in delight. To conclude my exquisite dining experience, I savored the crème brûlée, a dessert that was simply divine. The service at 40 Westt was nothing short of exceptional. It was evident that the staff worked with passion and dedication, as evidenced by their meeting before opening the restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant was pure class. Beyond the delectable food and impeccable service, I was captivated by the culinary artistry displayed by the chefs in front of us. The walls adorned with paintings of naked women and jazz art added to the overall ambiance, creating an atmosphere of sophistication and elegance.

Always a wonderful experience at 40 Westt. First off the service here is impeccable, when we arrived they seated us on one of their last tables at the back corner but when we asked to be moved to a nicer spot, they were understanding and moved us with no issues. The service continued to be phenomenal through the night as the waiters treat each guest with respect and really make you feel special. The atmosphere is grand with the open kitchen, high ceilings and rich decor. It always elevates the experience. The food was as usual delicious. 40 Westt doesn't waste time with fancy modern lingo, their food is to the point and cooked to perfection. The cowboy steak was sublime and their apple pie was brought to another level. The price is expensive, but the experience is always worth it. You pay for quality here and quality is what you get. We will definitely continue our yearly tradition of coming back!

Ahmed was the best waiter. Amazing service and really made our meal even more enjoyable than just the delicious food! Lobster, filet mignon, the best French fries ever, and soufflé / perfect meal - perfect service!

Pretty underwhelming food wise. Been several times for business, brought my wife for 1st time. Food was under seasoned. Paloma was flat ($30 cocktail 😒). Bread was offered yet never brought. A few other hiccups but normal in the industry, not worth adding but it all adds up at that point. Grille Nature will be our definite go-to at this point moving forward in the WI (better price, food, service, …)

Had the chance to enjoy a fancy lunch party with my colleagues at this amazing spot. Even though this is a late review due to the busy holiday season, my experience here was wonderful. The food was absolutely delicious, and the staff were friendly, attentive, and very helpful. The atmosphere is elegant and perfect for special occasions. I would definitely recommend this place to couples looking for a very fancy and romantic date. Will surely come back again!

Food is delicious, lack of service our reservation was at 8:30 pm ,the waiter only came to our table to pour water at 9:15 pm . For a restaurant of this caliber you would expect better service.

While visiting my cousin in Montreal, we decided to have dinner at 40 Westt Steakhouse, and once again, this place reminded me why it’s considered one of the top steakhouses in the city. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how popular this restaurant is. Even though we had a reservation, the restaurant was extremely busy and we ended up waiting about 15 minutes for our table. That said, the wait didn’t feel like an inconvenience at all. The staff greeted us with big, genuine smiles, apologized for the short delay, and immediately offered us drinks while we waited, which made the experience start on a very positive note. Once seated, the service was absolutely top notch. I believe our waiter’s name was Sam, and he truly made the evening even more enjoyable. He was professional, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and attentive without being intrusive. Everything flowed perfectly throughout the night thanks to him. The ambiance is exactly what you’d expect from a high-end steakhouse—warm, elegant, lively, and very inviting. Despite how busy it was, the restaurant felt very clean, well-organized, and professionally run. For appetizers, we went all out and ordered a variety of dishes: Tuna tartare Salmon tartare Calamari Beef carpaccio 40 Westt salad Scallops Every dish was beautifully presented and full of flavor. The tartares were fresh and perfectly seasoned, the calamari was crispy and light, and the beef carpaccio was delicate and melt-in-your-mouth. The 40 Westt salad was refreshing and well-balanced. The real surprise for me was the scallops. It was my first time trying scallops, and all I can say is wow. They were absolutely delicious—perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. For the main course, I opted for the New York Strip, and it did not disappoint. The steak was juicy, flavorful, and cooked perfectly, with an excellent sear. My wife ordered the same and loved it just as much. My cousin went with the Delmonico, and he said it was perfectly cooked and incredibly delicious. We finished the night with dessert and all chose the soufflé, which was the perfect ending to an outstanding meal—light, rich, and absolutely amazing. I’ve always enjoyed dining at 40 Westt, and this visit was no exception. I did notice that prices have gone up quite a bit, but considering the quality of the food, the top-notch service, and the overall experience, it’s absolutely worth it. Exceptional food, outstanding service, and a world-class steakhouse experience. Highly recommended — and a special thank-you to Sam for making our night memorable. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food and service were wonderful. I unfortunately can't remember our waitresses name but she was so attentive to the fact that we had our 2.5 year old and 7 month old. She was so great! Made the experience more fun for mom and dad!
