The place did the job. Food was average nothing crazy. Probably the best thing here were the drinks.
Reviews / Ratings for 3 Amigos (Vieux-Montréal)
Loved my time at 3 amigos, mainly served by Ali (I think), who was so pleasant and helpful throughout my time there. To eat I had complimentary tortilla chips and salsa and then for mains I had birria boeuf which was amazing, even without the jalapeños on top, it was a little spicy (I'm not a fan of spice) but packed full of beef and was just stunning. Also along with the mains was chips (fries), which were very crispy, which i loved. To drink I had a sans alcohol (virgin) margarita on the rocks which was lovely and then a Pepsi, which surprisingly came in a large glass. You won't leave 3 amigos feeling hungry as tho my meal looked a normal portion it was so filling and all the other dishes people were served were huge. Cost $35.47 exc tip, well worth it.
I don't want to seem harsh, but this is not authentic Mexican if you have had mexican food near mexico its way different. For Canada it is not bad. We came on a pretty busy day and the service was great, but for some reason my tacos came out completely cold. I am not sure why but that made the meal a little less good when it is cold.
The Food and atmosphere are amazing. Ali D the server was excellent, and made the experience amazing. Will definitely return again. If you are in old Montreal you won’t be disappointed
Very Good food and attentive server
The food and service were all great, but after paying the bill, I was very disappointed because the person working in the kitchen didn't wash their hands after using the restroom.
Amazing time! we were served by Charles and if it wasn’t him the experience wouldn’t be the same. Super friendly and respectful 😊
Discriminatory service. We waited for over 15 minutes for a waiter to visit us to take our order, but the first waiter we got didn't seem knowledgeable about gluten-free items of the menu, due to his reply of 'this is gluten-free.....but it might not be'. When we asked them to clarify this and come back, they ignored us, and we had to then request for another server. The other server that we found also tried to first back out of serving us while looking for someone else, she came back when she couldn't find someone. During our entire meal, she would walk past us, without asking us if we might need something else, and we had to raise our hand or ask other servers to find her. Our server would frequent another table behind us during this period of ignoring us, who belonged to another cultural background. Quite often, we asked for something like a small dip or so, she would say "I'll be right back", and take over 15 minutes to bring it, with no apologies or words when bringing the requested items. Any service from her was done with an indifferent/rude appearance, as if someone is forcing her to work at 3 Amigos. For a place that attracts, quite a few folks with our groups' cultural background, the visible discrimination does not seem to make good business sense. But well, there's always great food options in Montreal, where you don't feel discriminated against.

Went here with my family, we got mango daiquiris, a mahito, a long Island iced tea, enchiladas, burrito bowl, chimichanga, and birria beef tacos. The food was amazing, I particularly really liked the mahito and the burrito bowl. We also got churros which were crispy but also very airy and fluffy inside. The salsa that came with the starting chips was also really good too. There was almost no wait for the food, it came out super fast. The music was also very nice. The women's bathroom however wasn't in great shape. There was pee all over most of the seats, and none of the stalls close.
Overall the place is great. Very nice and friendly staff. The bathrooms are a bit scary though... maybe, it's time to think about renovation? The food was good, quite generous portions though I expected more authentic stuff not North-American variant of Mexican cuisine (I was in Tres Amigos in another country) like Hot chilly soup (with beans), hot fire-grilled sausages, etc
Ali D was great !! Very welcoming and friendly.
Ali D is the best guy we met in Montreal…unreal
Excellent meal here before a tour of Montreal. Good service in a clean location. Be aware the portions are very large! My only minor gripe was that sparkling water was not available.
I travel a lot for work and this is the best Mexican food I have ever had, the prices are very affordable, and it's open late!
In town for a conference and went around lunchtime on a Friday. Sign at the host desk states to wait to be seated, so I waited and waited and waited for almost 10 mins. One of the waiters looked at me but didn't acknowledge me. Vibes were nice and I wish had the chance to comment on the food but service was lacking so I left and went down the street to eat elsewhere.
It wasn't busy on a random tuesday in April, but the food was great and service fine.
Was a very good place to eat. Charles served us very very well. Must visit place.
Visiting Montreal for the weekend and loved our visit at 3 Amigos. The drinks were good and the food was yummy! I would visit again and recommend to others.
Great location!! Food is great, service is great!! Lots of space on a monday evening!! I will be back!!
The food is excellent, but the service is very slow and the cobwebs could be removed from the chandeliers.
Best experience ! Calamari and virgin piña colada. hit the spot!
Lovely vibe, excellent service, delicious food. I felt very welcomed as a solo diner.
Very tasty and authentic food, Good vibes and friendly staff
I would like to start off by appreciating Joey. He was literally the best person to deal with. He was so so so caring and made our girls trip in Montreal very memorable. The service was great, the drinks and food were so yummy as well. Make sure to order the churros 🤎
