Topla !, this newcomer to the range of fast food I immediately made the eye. Is it because of its attractive logo? Is it not this cute little kitten? Or food option that seemed to me more original and much healthier than usual fast food chains? Maybe a combination of both! Still, I tested the concept with family, the first branch was opened, that of the borough of Beauport.
It took me a while before making my choice, since all the pasta dishes looked delicious. And I was not the only customers in front of me seemed too immersed in a complex decision-making. However, I have been able to eliminate a few, because for me, supporting a food must contain sufficient protein. Unfortunately, some pasta made me the eye, but do not contain meat or fish, such as papardelles with wild mushrooms and roasted garlic. I finally settled for spaghetti shrimp and dried tomatoes. Once the order is placed, we were offered a choice of three toppings: parmesan, arugula and shallot. I admit I was a little disappointed not to be able to add more than one without paying extra.
However, I was delighted with my choice of dish. My pasta was creamy to perfection, the sauce was delicate pasta was cooked al dente, in short the balance was perfect. However, I would have liked to see a bit more shrimp in my bowl, since the dish has not completely fulfilled my appetite.
I enjoyed the formula which, while being fast food makes it possible to enjoy quality food in a friendly setting. For cons, I found that the bill was climbing rapidly and we had not even taken trios. For small, the menus are however more affordable and we are happy to find something other than burgers or nuggets for once! Junior chose the mac and cheese that was served to him in a pretty little box with the image of the restaurant with a drink and a healthy dessert.
Overall, Topla! is a nice alternative to eat fast without compromising on quality.
