Friendly. This is the word that comes to mind to describe my exit to the Maizerets restaurant. The building, the ambience, service, decor and food, all were very friendly.
Only flat arriving, the very narrow parking lot, containing little space.
The exterior of the restaurant is inviting with its red-brick terrace that extends on both floors. Upon entering, we are treated to a warm welcome and decor up to date with music tend bonus.
During our visit, a menu for two was proposed including a shared appetizer, a choice of European and also serves pizza for two guests. A wise choice!
The entries, beautifully presented, were delicious, although classics drumsticks wings in Thai, French onions and cheddar jalapeño sticks. But people come especially to taste the specialty of the house: pizzas, "the best west of Rome," is do we boast! On the menu, the European pizzas take most of the space and promise of tantalizing flavors.
Among the abundant supply, I chose The Manor Pizza topped with rose sauce and topped with shrimp, smoked salmon, clams, scallops and pollock, served on a thin crisp crust. I have not regretted my choice and the seafood was very fresh. The person who accompanied me chose the Smoked-meat made smoked meat, fries, Dijon mustard, pickles and Swiss cheese. A winner marriage and a presentation that was unusual. Indeed, the pickles were finely crafted, so to offer a delicate garnish. Potatoes matches, deposited on top, made it all fun. Besides the taste of mustard that was a little too strong, I enjoyed this mixture. I was also delighted by the attention of the waitress who offered to serve us a portion of each pizza on the plate. Perfect for those who like to taste everything, like me!
As the pizzas are served in generous portions, we see throughout the meal, many diners come away with their little box. It is therefore absolutely not shy to ask for a doggy bag. And psst! It is excellent reheated.
The evening has been most enjoyable, apart from the dessert which was a bit disappointed. The proposed trilogy consisted of a cheesecake, a brownie and a creme brulee. The cheesecake was very good, but too rigid crust was impossible to separate. Me who loves brownies, it was really hard and cold and even Nutella served around failed to give my love to the dish. However, the creme brulee was the most successful of the trio flat.
For delicious pizzas with toppings attractive and have a good time, the Maizerets is a place to discover!
