There are places where you instantly feel good ... le Temps d’une pinte in downtown Trois-Rivières is definitely a part of it. Even before entering, the name of the establishment evokes a pause, a moment of rest.

Then, as soon as you push the door, you feel welcomed warmly. The place breathes and the time seems to freeze ... First in the decoration that reminds of a working-class era. To serve the beers, the handles of the pressure machine are replaced by various tools of yesteryear. Massive chains hang from the ceiling. The open kitchen takes us back to our childhood memories, those where we watched patiently Grandma get busy behind the stove. Then, we love the comfort of the little bell announcing that a dish is ready to be served. Finally, we feel at home. Here, no one is in a hurry, we just relax, share, share ... all this, time to enjoy a pint ...

Something that I could not bring myself to miss, even though I visited the microbrewery at brunch time. Yes Yes! As it was a late brunch and noon had sounded, I was able to order a beer without hesitation like other guests. In front of the superb selection of house-brewed beers, I went strategically for the black, with its aromas of coffee. Question that everything goes well with my dish! My Torréfacteur's glass, a Barista Dry Stout in which coffee beans were added, was just right. It must be said that the microbrewery was established in the former premises of coffee house Le Torréfacteur and that it chose to continue the activities of the burner.

On the food side, slate dishes make me an eye. I hesitate a moment ... the Benedictine eggs call me: mashed avocado, shrimps with herbs, LTDP potatoes and fruits, but I change my mind. I feel adventurous, let's go for something new! I choose the waffle cheddar and nutmeg. I had also spotted on several tables by entering. Visually, the plate is an A +. Colorful, appetizing, we want to prick the fork right away. In tasting, I fall in love with potatoes, melting, they are a real delight. I then attack the waffle. Interesting, but a bit dry in my opinion. But, let's try with the egg yolk ... ah it's a lot better! The ham and the frayed turkey are delectable and the mix is ??surprising. Lacquered bacon cut in bacon is a real delicacy ... is it fished? The small watercress salad adds a nice freshness and I really like the taste of this vegetable, but I enjoy less chew in a branch. Little hitch too, the smell of nutmeg. Quite discreet in the mouth, however it emanates a perfume almost disturbing my nostrils.

In short, the Temps d’une pinte breathes simplicity. I felt free, in no hurry and the people around seemed really "take the time", a rare thing in our era when everything is going fast!
