On a cold spring evening to make your cheekbones turn pink, after a stroll in the charming streets of Old Quebec, my companion and I wanted to warm up a bit. And we hit the mark by selecting the Q-of-Sac that I had never really noticed before. Located in the heart of the very touristic Quartier Petit Champlain, the restaurant nevertheless goes almost unnoticed. At least, I had never really paid attention to it until that April evening. Due to its location, you might have thought you were a "tourist trap", yet when you walk through the doors of a restaurant, which describes itself as a sports chalet, you dive into a warm and friendly atmosphere filled with locals.

From the outset, the warmth of the wood-fired oven which crackles at the back of the room envelops the room in a relaxed atmosphere. The place is already crowded even if it is early and on the tables, many diners are already comforting themselves around a steaming onion soup. The apotheosis of comfort!

We take a seat at the large bar and are greeted with a broad smile. A bit festive, we opt for a cocktail of the moment. Under the expert guidance of our waitress, a blackberry mojito won our favor. A delight for both the eyes and the palate. The menu now! As it is varied, we do not fail to request again the recommendations of our waitress who is happy to share them with us.

Having just a little craving, we decide on a mushroom crostini to share. When the plate lands in front of us, I am won over. What a magnificent presentation! With its rustic appearance, this shack is definitely very refined.

Although the bread is slightly too toasted, if not a bit burnt, the mix of delectable mushrooms, generous shavings of Parmesan and greens drizzled with a fine vinaigrette manages to save the day. A good start to the game.

In the second part, we take the advice of our waitress and go for the white pizza with its mix of house cheeses, olive oil, mushrooms, truffle oil, arugula, Parmesan and fleur de sel. Out of the corner of our eyes, we watch the wood-fired oven installed just behind us so that we don't miss a thing.

Once again, the presentation exceeded our expectations. The pizza is delicious and cooking with wood makes all the difference in the mouth. Marriage is heartwarming. The only downside? The garnish looks awfully like our starter, but the fault is ours. I regret not having selected the onion soup that I keep seeing being delivered to the tables before the game. She seems to score for sure.

We are still satisfied and the game has convinced us, the game is won.
