When the desire (or energy) to cook is not at the rendezvous, the first idea that usually comes to mind: order a good pizza! It is comforting, it is gathering and it generally fills everyone, even the most difficult. Choices abound when it comes to pizza restaurants and a matter of change, we went to Pizz 67 in Beauport.

It is one of the two branches of the banner because another restaurant is located in St-Émile. The Beauport branch is an express counter, but it is possible to eat on site and take orders to take away.

Even though the menu also offers some authentic snack classics: sandwich clubs, hamburgers, poutines, salads and chicken skewers, it is above all for pizza. The flavors remain traditional: cheese, garnished, peppéroni, vegetarian. Nothing really extravagant or new. For our part, we stopped our choice on the BBQ Chicken to share. The latter was garnished with a whiskey BBQ sauce (a little intriguing), chicken, tomatoes, red onions, cheese and bacon.

At first glance, I was delighted to find that my pizza was not too greasy (we'll see much worse in other restaurants whose name we will not mention). No oversized oil on top or soggy crust. It's much more appetizing as well. We must not delude ourselves, we know that we do not eat the healthiest meal that is, but once in a while, it's good. Then, the cheese was only lightly toasted, something I like very much, because you can really taste its flavor. The garnish was also quite generous and we liked the little kick of the Whiskey which was different from the traditional BBQ sauce. I would have preferred, however, that the onions be a little more cooked in order to soften their piquant side.

I also greet the green efforts of the restaurant, because by eating there, we were served all in reusable plates. The restaurant also specifies that it provides utensils and condiments on request solely for the sake of the environment. A small gesture that we appreciate.

On the service side, it is excellent, we are very well received and we are handed a device that alerts us when our pizza is ready to avoid having to wait on the alert near the counter.

Sincerely, a good little local pizzeria for those who love traditional pizza.
