Perched on the 28th floor of the iconic Le Concorde, even the lively Grande Allée, Heaven restaurant! has enough to turn heads. Totally revamped since its acquisition by the Groupe Restos Plaisirs, the restaurant now offers a modern menu in a setting breathtaking.

The view is also the highlight of the place. It is mainly for this reason that it moves. Get a 360-degree panorama of Quebec City and the surrounding area, while being comfortably installed in front of a good meal, that which delights.

As the restaurant relies on its rotary appearance and is located in a very tourist artery, I had no real expectations for the food. However, I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of food they served me.

For starters, the seafood are featured in several dishes offered; something that delights me. I stopped my choice on rock shrimp. More fleshy than the Matane shrimp and very tasty, the stars of my plate had me greatly. Shellfish being served with a puree of celeriac and dried ham, salty appearance was however a bit too far.

Side main courses, variety is honored: cannelloni, beef scoter, sweetbreads, lobster ... but prices also skyrocketing. This is orgetto, a primed barley flat like a risotto, that caught my attention. I again was pleasantly surprised by my dish. First, the barley was black, something I did not expect at all and that gave a fine side dish spice immediately curiosity by its originality. To taste, it is an explosion of flavors: caramelized onions, leeks, squash and dried tomatoes gently blend with the creamy sauce. A vegetarian dish that truly sets! Only downside: the salt, again present in excessive amounts.

The dessert menu also brings a lot of happiness. As I had to choose, I chose a cake topped with banana trapper. Delicious and refreshing!

Heaven! Definitely a restaurant to provide for a special occasion or just to enjoy the splendid view.
