The 2013 summer season is well underway, if not about to end... As every season, new restaurants have opened their doors in order to provide us with new and different menus. Here is our Top 5 most beautiful discovery in Montreal.

Chez Lionel

Let's start the tour with a stop in South Shore, specifically in the Nouveau Boucherville, with a visit to Chez Lionel. Before consulting the restaurant menu you must be reading the beers menu (excellent variety offered), wines (many choices of privately imported bottles) or cocktails (homemade!).

Once the drink disappeared, let's go with the meal: small bites of Tartar or salads entrance, aged beef as a main dish (we also had a choice of a hamburger, fish or pasta) and a plate of cheeses to complete.

Chef Ian Perreault takes care to serve only healthy food and the staff is impeccable.

Kyo Bar Japanese

Continue with a visit to the pub Japanese Kyo Bar, located in a century-old building in Old Montreal, where the decor has been carefully chosen. Since it is a pub-type restaurant, the portions and prices are small so that it is possible to make several discoveries in one evening.

Squid, pork, tempura, chicken wings, sashimi and sushi bar... you have to go as a group to be able to taste everything, accompanied by sake!

If this is not a group, bring your children, they will love the taste of amazing things!

The champagnerie

A champagne bar for a 5-7 out of the ordinary is the champagnerie. Do not judge right away ... The place is not reserved for the millionaire. There are of course bottles of prestigious bubbles, but also other much more affordable.

You can accompany your cup with small bites, tapas menu in a chic atmosphere.

Moreover, the server will slash the bottle of champagne in front of you! Worth a glance (fast).

Invitation V

Small foray into a vegan restaurant for Sunday brunch. The three chefs, animal lovers and trippers, offering an inspired menu of their passions.

For brunch, bread comes directly from William and goes wonderfully omelette or pancake of buckwheat flour. Depending on the season and the flavors of the moment, the homemade quiche and a salad makes a great start to the day.

Special mention for their gluten-free menu and the takeout ... pressed for noon!

Brasserie Benelux

Therefore conclude this tour of new restaurants in the Benelux Brasserie at Verdun. It must be concluded in the summer on the terrace with a bar of house beer tastings. In total, there are 12 locally brewed beers, more precisely in the vaults of the bank who lived at this address before.

To appease the hungry, choose from the extra sandwiches, panini or hot dogs eurpoéens.

There is also another Benelux, at the corner of Sherbrooke and Jeanne-Mance, for more home-cold beer!
