The waiters and waitresses are generally courteous and sociable people. Indeed, no one could do this job long if did not have a great deal of patience and indulgence.
However, force rub mankind at a high frequency, some have become allergic to certain behaviors, let's be honest, are quite questionable effect ...
1 - Moving to a table when it is appropriate to wait for the hostess
Some clients ignore messages indicating wait at the entrance on the pretext that they know the owner, they have already come, it's too long, etc.. If you are one of them, know that you already lose a lot of points in the eyes of your server, and even before the start of your meal!
2 - Ask him what he or she is "the other" in life
This question, apparently common, implies that working in a restaurant can only be a hobby until we have a real job. Flattering? Not really. So do not put your server back by questioning their professional aspirations!
3 - Make your requests one at a time
Want a spoon, a glass of water and peppercorns? Make life easier for your server by combining queries in a single request. Everyone will be a winner!
4 - Snapping Fingers
Probably the worst thing to do. Apart whistle, perhaps.
5 - Allow your children to walk in the restaurant
You go to the restaurant to relax? Of course! But other customers as well. Do not keep your children. In addition, the movement of personnel is often rampant during meals and an accident can happen quickly.
6 - Having too many special requests
The menu exists for a reason. If you completely misrepresent your flat requesting changes in 1001, it might be time to find a restaurant that suits you more.
7 - If embedded in the restaurant
The servers you never tell, but at some point you have to leave. Monopolizing your table, you prevent other customers to order, thus reducing the tip of the server. You fetch water every 20 minutes is not very lucrative.
There are of course other behaviors that exasperate the waiters and waitresses. But hope that these rules will make you a better customer!
