Do you know the dishcrawl? This trend in the world of catering appeared in the early 2000s and involves taking each step of a meal in a different restaurant. We eat the starter in one place, the main course in a second and we savor the dessert in a third place! Want to try? I suggest 4 itineraries in the beautiful city of Quebec each proposing three restaurants located on the same artery. We get together with friends and we choose one of these circuits!
3rd avenue
The sparkling 3rd avenue is full of interesting restaurants. We start the Cinderella tour which is perfect for the aperitif since all the dishes are served in format input and are intended to be shared. You will be able to whet your appetite by ordering homemade cold cuts, Quebec cheeses or oyster trays. On the main course, we go to Les Fistons for a convivial menu. The fig and goat pizza and the duck confit poutine made me particularly eye-catching. For a daring dessert, continue on the busy avenue to visit Soupe & Cie to enjoy a good bowl of dessert soup among the flavors dark chocolate, white chocolate and strawberry, maple, lemon and raspberry or caramel à la vanilla and fleur de sel.
St. Joseph Street
If we prefer the St-Roch district, we start at the Cercle which offers a variety of colorful starters such as salmon acras or beef jerkey. On the flat side of resistance, we go to Patente et machin for an exquisite seasonal cuisine in a totally unpretentious atmosphere. We take advantage of the slate menu to try new flavors. We finish everything at the Pub du Parvis to enjoy a fried ice cream as a dessert.
St-Jean Street
On the popular rue St-Jean, we begin our exploration at the restaurant Les Méchants Sparrows where you can share an antipasti platter garnished with olives, pickled vegetables, peppers, aubergine purée, homemade ham, bacon, cheese, nuts Cooked pot crisps, terrine, naan bread or bagel. At the second service, we go straight to Chez Boulay to enjoy the Nordic cuisine of chefs Jean-Luc Boulay and Arnaud Marchand. Parmentier of goose and duck, plays of the braised moment or paved of pork Nagano roasted, you will feast for sure! To conclude in style, we finish at the Batinse restaurant to enjoy a revisited Quebec dessert such as potato candy or pet-de-sieur 2.0.
Cartier Avenue
The lively Avenue Cartier is full of charming little restaurants and making a choice was not easy. We start the tour at the corsican wine bar and bistro small troughs and grands crus. We take the opportunity to enjoy a glass of wine while enjoying a board among the wide variety (fishmonger, charcutière, Mediterranean, etc.). For the main course, we go to Bistro B for creative cuisine with a changing menu. We finish with a Graffiti for a melting chocolate duo or a gourmet coffee composed of an espresso, a chocolate and raspberry truffle, a macaroon and a mini crème brûlée.
