The French onion soup was delicious. For the appetizer, we had the salmon tartare—it was very fresh and refreshing. For my main, I ordered a steak medium rare, but it came a bit too rare. That said, the steak itself was flavorful, with a nicely seared, crispy exterior. The cut was thick, and paired with the salad, the portion was just right for me. My partner ordered the duck confit—it was tender, flavorful, and not gamey at all, making it very easy to enjoy. We were too full to try dessert. The staff were friendly and the service was great.

It was my first time since 2021 going there, but yesterday it was a total let down. First, the restaurant had a rancid smell of sewage when we entered. My brother was really disturbed by this. Second, I had the mahi mahi & crème brûlée and woke up during the night with gastric reflux and a sore belly. The mahi mahi was most likely not fresh and the crème brûlée had too many eggs in it. I do intermittent fasting so it was my only meal of the day, so it cannot be anything else that made me sick. Also, the octopus that my mother had was boiled rather than sautéed so the taste was bland. The service was good. Atmosphere was okay. Please rehire your former kitchen staff if they left. My apologies for any typos.

Came to Holder during my Montreal trip and overall, the ambience, service, and food were excellent. For a table of 4, we got the braised beef, mussles and fries, and salmon - all delicious with generous portions. The beef tartar starter was delicious and they were generous with providing extra bread without having to ask. Overall, for a table of 4 with no alcohol, the price was pretty reasonable. I highly recommend this restaurant and would definitely be visiting again when I am in Montreal next.

Faultless. Serive was amazing for wvwey staff member. The food which was calamari, salad, beef cheeks (so good!) and mussels where all amazing!

Really liked holder, some of the food could have a bit more flavour, but price/value wise it's worth it! Great service too! Will be back for sure :)

My waiter Joe (the goat) was so attentive, he made sure that I got wanted. I had a great time at this restaurant because of his service.
