There is a lot of Restaurant Boustan in Montreal and I have been to one of its franchises on Rue Jean Talon West many years ago and was impressed with quality and freshness. This time I was passing by this Langelier location and decided to make a stop for an eat-in lunch on a Monday. Parking was plentiful and free. The restaurant was empty and we were the only customers at that time and ordered the beef kebab combo where there is a lot of side accompaniments that I can choose from, like rice, potatoes, salad, pickled beets, humus, sour cream and pita bread. The portion was large enough to share between myself and my kid. The highlight for me is the beef shawarma cooked on the vertical rotisserie. My reference point for comparison is the one on Jean Talon West, where there was a huge lineup that spills outside the restaurant. Well, this time, totally disappointed. Big bowl of sides but nowhere near the amount of beef shawarma which was overly dry to the point that chewing was difficult. There is absolutely no way that this meat could have been sliced from the rotisserie on that same day. Pita bread was dry and flaky every step of the way. Did I get stale leftover bread? This teaches me a lesson of never to go in when the place is empty.

my go to place for late night craving, the service is fast no matter how busy it is. staff is friendly and restaurant is always clean
