The place was very nice, the service excellent, but I must admit the food was rather disappointing. The rice was undercooked and crunchy, the salmon was dry and overcooked, and the desserts were very very sweet (big thanks for offering strawberries, as they were the only thing that was not too sweet) The tuna tataki was delicious, but that would be hard to over or undercook. For the price, the ingredients seem fine, I just wish the desserts were lighter and the rice/fish better cooked. The buffet options are a bit limited, so I would expect the few options to be prepared perfectly.
Reviews / Ratings for Pavillon 67, buffet gourmand
Service was great, we were greeted the moment we stepped into the line of people with reservation and shortly after, we were called and guided to our table. The waiters service was friendly and not over the top. The food has a lot to be desired. All the meat tasted the same - as in bland, under seasoned, dry and chewy. I couldn't differentiate the lamb from the beef or the duck. The chicken skewers were extremely dry as well as the beef tenderloin. The pasta in the Italian kitchen was very watery and the mac and cheese was lacking flavor and cheese. The Chinese pan seared dumplings looks like t hey were deep fried in dirty oil with all the black specs on it. I expected a lot more for a evening diner because the last time I went for a regular Thursday dinner, the food was a lot more appetizing. All the deserts were either dry - especially the carrot cake, or moist when they shouldn't be - like the cannoli. The food wasn't worth the 58$, maybe 20$ but the ambiance was nice.
Very good experience, definitely recommend! 👌 Good portion size, lots of choice of amazing deserts and pretty much everything else. The soup was delicious and the coffee as well. Will definitely come back!
Since the beginning, they were very organized with all the bookings. Then after, the buffet was full with many different options, some of them were changed during the service giving the opportunity to try even more food. The service was flawless, the server took so much care of us, he was always aware of everything and the cherry on top, as soon as he knew it was one of the parties' birthday, he came with a little candle and sang for her. Unforgivable!
I’ve been to Pavilion 67 a few times in the past and always had a great experience, so I was looking forward to coming back after about a year or two. This time, the experience started off a bit disappointing. We had a reservation and arrived on time, but ended up waiting in the reservation line for about 10 minutes while several groups behind us were called ahead. It turns out that someone at the entrance was supposed to take our name to mark our arrival, but no one informed us. We were basically standing there waiting without being acknowledged, which felt frustrating—especially considering that reservations are time-sensitive and can be canceled if you’re late. Once seated, things improved significantly. Our server was excellent—very professional and attentive—and took the time to explain the latest changes to the buffet. The food was also very good overall. I didn’t try everything, but what I did have was easily in the 8–9/10 range. The other downside is how crowded it gets, especially on a Saturday night. The buffet lines were quite long, and it felt like the number of seats compared to the buffet stations might not be well balanced. For a restaurant at this price point, spending a lot of time waiting in line for food takes away from the experience. Overall, I still recommend Pavilion 67 for the quality of the food and service once you’re seated. Just make sure to arrive early, confirm your check-in, and consider avoiding peak times like weekends or event nights for a better experience.
I had supper on Saturday, April 28, and I would like to share some feedback about my experience at the beef counter. When I arrived, I was standing alone for about 30 seconds or more but the staff member did not acknowledge me or make eye contact. He continued cutting and cleaning before attending to me. When I requested a piece of beef for grilling, the portion given was very small. I had to ask for a larger piece, similar to a standard steak. I was also not asked how I would like it cooked. After a few minutes, I mentioned that I preferred it medium rare. The staff member briefly flipped the beef but then stepped away to attend to other tasks. I had to call him back to prevent overcooking, but unfortunately, the beef was cooked beyond medium. Additionally, the staff member appeared unfriendly and did not smile. I believe that in a dining environment, attentive and courteous service is very important. Customers are not asking for favors, but simply expecting a reasonable level of service.
Great lunch buffet at a great price. Service is excellent
Mediocre overall. Not quite what I expected based on the reviews and the website. To be fair, it’s not a bad buffet—but it doesn’t rise above the baseline either. The layout is oddly organized, with sections that feel disconnected. The Italian station, for example, was tucked away and surprisingly difficult to find. The salad bar was underwhelming—just a few basic greens and cherry tomatoes. The advertised sushi station was nowhere to be found, and the Asian dishes lacked flavor. On the positive side, the charcuterie and cheese selection was solid, and the Italian dishes we did find were tasty, though limited in variety. We even saw pizza ovens in use, but no pizza ever made it to the serving area. Dessert was the highlight—easily one of the better buffet dessert selections I’ve come across. Service was friendly and quick, but not particularly attentive to details. Cocktails, unfortunately, were awful.
Not as i expected
Beautiful interior. Many options but no real standouts. Service was great and the Italian section was very good. Maple gelato was solid.
i personally lovr 67 ronaldo. this r4esutrant is so slay an
Not as much as choices. Fairly good.
I was asked to provide more feedback beyond my one-star rating. The mashed potatoes were made from an instant mix. At $58 per person, that felt insulting. The overall experience made us head straight home instead of spending time at the casino as we had planned.
Tres belle vue sur le centre-ville
It is amazing we still have a buffet inside the Casino, when in Las Vegas those were long gone. Prices are sparking all over, but Pavillon67 cost is still affordable. It's a little bid sad that between December 26th and 30th, there is no more sea food section, they used to have. Selection is a bit less, but the quality remain still very high for an all you can eat buffet. Service was slow when we were there, but the restaurant was fully packed on December 28th 2025. Facing new realities of 2025-2026, Pavillon67 is still a great place for what we paid. Commodities are good, parking is free, easy to find and just down at the basement levels. Restaurant service is not bad, polite and responsive, but clearly under staffed during Chrismas holidays. Lobster bisque 🦞 was a drawback ... it was really bad, way too salty, missed some ingredients, not even closed to the best one I had. It may seat there hours before renewed. Better to withdraw it. Plenty of dishes are still amazing, you have just to pick the right ones. The gourmand side is still there, just have to dig more. We still have 14-15 selections by the gourmet standard, which is not bad at all. I was surprised how fruits and vegetables were so fresh for a non vegan restaurant ! Desserts are on the top level, with a lot of products on the, high quality, tasty and delicate side. All in all, that level of classy and gourmet buffet is rare to find nowadays in Montreal and surrounding areas. A nice place to go, closed to the Montreal old port, with a somehow wallet friendly compare to the Montreal old port restaurant alternatives, and no parking spot to run endlessly after. For the amount asked, we were very satisfied. The interior is classy and cozy with an upscale touch, and we can still find a nice number of gourmet dishes.
We enjoyed a wonderful dining experience at this restaurant with my spouse, where a beautiful table by the window offered a breathtaking view. The cuisine surpassed my expectations and the desserts were particularly outstanding. Even after a satisfying meal, I found myself wanting more. The staff provided courteous and attentive service, and although the prices were somewhat high, I felt it was a worthwhile indulgence.
It’s a real “hack” for the price! If you do like I did, go to the Casino de Montréal and don’t gamble, just enjoy the buffet at Pavillon 67 and live music, it is so cheap for what you get. Exactly like in Vegas, the hotel rooms are cheap because their business model is gambling, not accommodation.
