Honestly? High way robery even for 2026.. almost no meat in both our mixed plate.. the shawarma is dry with almost no taratour and the shishtaouk, although somewhat okay in taste, was really hard to find in our plates. The potatoes are pretty much breakfast potatoes without any middleast taste.. maybe that why you add a slice of grapefruit? Keep it and add some meat if you want to keep your customers. The rice was not even cooked enough. For 55$ for two plates it's by far one of the worst recent experience we had. Come on.. I'm sure you can do better. Not sure if it's because there is only one guy working in the restaurant at 8pm on a friday night but I'm hoping it's a one off. Edit: I'm obviously talking about the price I paid at the counter. I'm sorry, I thought it was common knowledge that taxes are added to your prices. Nobody cares about the price before the taxes, customers care about the end result, and that was a subpar fast food experience for around 52$ taxes included (if you really want accuracy and precision). Of course you can do what you want with your restaurant, feel free to ignore advices that would make your plates stand out.. I mean, is it that difficult to not focus solely on making a large amount of profits? 52$ for rice, potatoes and beans, what a deal! Give enough meat in your plate to reflect the prices you charge and if it seems too farfetched maybe visit a turkish restaurants and see how it's done. Avaritia.

I stopped by Shawarman by pure coincidence for a bite and I greatly enjoyed both a great authentic shawarma sandwich and a pleasant and welcoming vibe with Pierre the owner. I encourage shawarma lovers to visit this very nice place, it's definitely a lovely experience.

Went to this place due to the good reviews, but disappointed by the quality and quantity of the food. Having been around Montreal eating Shawarma, this place is definitely a let down. Extremely expensive for what you get and mediocre taste and quality. Upon investigation of the other reviews, it seems that my experience is consistent with the bad ones. However it got washed away from the good ones. -No idea how they managed to get so many good reviews. Who knows? 😂 What’s even more interesting is the way the owner responds to all of them 🤣🤣 it’s never their problem, it’s the SAAMMMME across Montreal, their food is absolute TOOOOP quality. At some point he needs to wake up and recognize that consumers are not stupid. I have never seen an owner who’s so delusional about their own product… Maybe time for some market research! 😁 I won’t go in detail on what I ate since he will just find 99999 excuses but if this review finds you, please AVOID this place! Unless you want to get disappointed 😁

Highly don’t recommend, I don’t know how this place has such good reviews but this isn’t near being any good. The meat taste bad. Very little amount too. Portions were tiny, and the sandwich was empty inside. Empty empty! Read the other real reviews and trust them because that’s exactly what it is. The potatoes were not good at all either. And finally prices are overrated. Highly highly highly don’t recommend! Avoid at all costs. When confronting the owner about the subpar quality, he shrugged it off and he said we are the problem.

Hello, We feel it is important to address this review clearly, as it contains several false and misleading statements. First, regarding the portion size: The potato ordered were a small portion, clearly indicated on the menu, weighing between 160 g and 175 g, made fresh in-house, never frozen. Despite this, a new portion was offered for free, which is not something most restaurants do. Claiming the issue was ignored is simply untrue. Second, the sandwich: The chicken pita sandwich was fully eaten, with nothing left behind. Additionally, the customer shared and ate fries from her friends’ plates, which directly contradicts the claim that the food was “bad” or “inedible.” Third, the pricing: – Chicken pita: $10 – potato: $7 – Chicken saj (friend): $13 plus you order chicken pita and you complain on beef sandwich :) These prices are completely standard for fresh, homemade food in a highly rated restaurant. Calling them “overpriced” is a personal opinion, not a fact. Lastly, the statement that the owner said “you are the problem” is completely fabricated. We always respond respectfully, even during busy service, and at that moment the dining room was full of happy customers. We welcome honest, constructive feedback. However, we do not accept false accusations that do not reflect reality or the experience of the vast majority of our guests. Respect and transparency go both ways. — Shawarman Team

Very cozy and nice place with great Mediterranean food. The atmosphere is warm, the cocktails are delicious, and the shawarma sandwich was amazing. The owner is very kind and welcoming. I highly recommend this place — I would come back 1000 times!
