Cancelled a group reservation that was made a week in advance, less than 24 hours before the date and said there was no room to accommodate us. Extremely poor management and very disappointing.

Horrible service I booked for a work gathering 5 to 7 which is 2 hours. Manager was extremely rude could have told to leave nicely but had to be extremely disrespectful about it. He came at 7:02 pm and started shouting at us to leave. This is a restaurant we expect to get decent service if we pay. There is a way of managing restaurants we expect respect when we go one. There is a way to handle urgency when people are waiting, you can talk to us like normal people and we will listen if there are people waiting. Also i called to tell the manager it was 5 to 7 which was 2 hours not 1h30. Also tried booking quite in advance had to call the restaurant to make sure my reservation was ok.

Hello Naser. I am Matthew, General Manager of the store. Like it was mention to your colleagues.. In no way was your quick out meant to be disrespect but rather urgency. We needed the space ASAP because people were waiting for a very long time for the space. As you know, there was a hockey game and your group was made aware that there was 1H 30 minutes to consume.. We taake this mater seriously and ill better communicate to our customers when there are time sensitive allocated time blocs. Thank you for your understand in this matter

I’ve been to this restaurant before, and it was always a middle-of-the-road experience—nothing special, but nothing terrible. However, our most recent visit changed that drastically. We had a reservation for a large group, and at exactly 7:02 PM, an employee named Matthew came over and aggressively shouted at us to leave, despite us already wrapping up. His behavior was shockingly unprofessional, disrespectful, and honestly aggressive. Even the other staff looked horrified. What was once a mediocre but acceptable place is now one I’ll never return to. If management wants to salvage their reputation, they need to address this employee’s behavior. It was unacceptable.

Very rude staff. One of the staff's named Mathieu was very rude and disrespectful. We had reservation from 5 to 7, as we were leaving at 7:03 and we were all standing he came to us and shouted multiple times that everyone go out. His behavior was very aggressive and one that you wouldn't usually see in a civilized place.

It's always disappointing having to go out of your way to write a negative review, but in these cases it's necessary for the staff to reflect on how their poor service makes their clientele feel. I am completely new to Montreal and wanted to get a taste of the historic, playoff hockey atmosphere. I visited this restaurant over the weekend to watch Game 4, based on a recommendation (key word, RECOMMENDATION) from one of my buddies ,who is a local, and also happens to be a restaurant manager himself. Upon arrival, I don't think we could've been treated any worse than we did. We arrived very early (around 5pm), but were told that we might have to potentially leave before the start of the game as there was little-to-no space for additional reservations. I acknowledged the notice from the hostess, who then subsequently informed me (after I followed), that there was some space leftover on the second floor for a 2-person reso only. I delighted. Upon going upstairs with my buddies, however, the female manager on the floor informed us that they could not accommodate us either, as the second floor was already fully booked. We mentioned to her what the front desk girl told us, to which she apologized and said that the hostess was incorrect. We were disappointed of course, but fully understood. These things happen. More importantly though, the manager then told us that they actually had space for us both on the bottom floor for the same reso. So we made our way back down. Subsequently after taking a seat at the table (the one shown to us by the female manager herself), the server made it very clear that she wouldn't be serving us without a prior reservation. We tried explaining the situation to her, but to no avail. Not long after, a second, male manager approached our table, visibly angry, and started immediately speaking down towards us. There was no attempt at understanding, an acknowledgement of potential miscommunication, or even having a small bit of empathy for the situation; just an immediate assumption of guilt and a rude, condescending tone. Needless to say, we left the premises without any issues. I understand that it's the playoffs and these nights can get crazy if there isn't organization & enforcement of clearly respected rules. But this wasn't a situation where 2 people were trying to sneak in and finesse the system. We were told by both the hostess and management that we could be accommodated, with a proper reservation, and yet were treated otherwise after simply following THEIR instructions. Needless to say, it was a horrible experience and an even worse first impression. Will not be coming back.

I would like to highlight Glória’s excellent service. From the beginning, she was extremely attentive, friendly, and professional. She showed great knowledge of the menu, made thoughtful recommendations, and was always available without being intrusive. In addition, her efficiency and the way she handled customers clearly show her experience and dedication. Even during busy moments, she remained calm and maintained a high level of service. She is the kind of professional who truly makes a difference in the customer experience. I would definitely come back, also because of her service

We found the service, food and brewed beer to be amazing and worth a repeat visit, and knowing how many choices Montreal offers that is saying something. All of the food we had was amazing! The sweet potato fries were the best we have ever had, crispy and perfect; the French onion soup was delicious; the burger was juicy and flavorful-amazing; the salads that we had were also very good. My husband loved the in house brewed beer so much he bought (and carried) a growler. The service was great, personal and responsive without being disingenuous or intrusive. He was aware of our needs and on top of it before we asked. Jérémie was friendly and patient as well as responsive.
