Looking at the terrace, which was packed from morning to night, I suspected that Café Bohème would be a winning address in Tadoussac. And I got it confirmed by a couple of visitors who were staying at the same hostel as us. It was under their warm recommendations that we presented ourselves at the small restaurant established in the heart of the charming port village.

Lovely bistro
Without a reservation it was risky, but it was on the second floor that we were kindly accompanied. A cozy and charming little cocoon, ideal for a small intimate meal. Immediately, the welcome from our waitress was most sympathetic. She gives us the information on the daily menu with details that make you want to.

I barely took a look at the menu when I immediately found the dish that makes me want: vegan pasta. In fact, this is the description which confirms that the plate is made for me: linguine slightly tomato (perfect for me who does not like pasta that bathes in sauce), parsley pesto, grilled peppers, zucchini, olives Kalamata, fresh herbs, mushrooms and roasted almonds. Since I know myself well and need a good dose of protein at the evening meal, I opt for the little extra ($ 3) of organic Charlevoix coppa and the addition of parmesan shavings.

Divine pasta
The pretty plate (both the container and the contents) arrives and with the first bite, the fresh flavors assure me that my choice was the right one. The Mediterranean flavors are absolutely perfect on this early summer evening by the sea. I devour it all with great appetite. The marriage of ingredients and quantities are judiciously balanced. The slightly crispy (and totally delicious) coppa, the cheese and the olives add just the little salt you need. When the waitress returns for our dishes, I am happy, for once, to let her take back a completely empty plate.

Tasty tartare
My companion, for his part, opted for the meal tartare, the flavor of which every frequently. On this summer Sunday evening, the bison was in the spotlight seasoned with sea buckthorn berries and pumpkin seeds. A delight! His only downside: he would have liked you to be able to spice up the tartare in the kitchen rather than having to adjust it himself with tabasco.

The final grade
To end the evening on a high note, let myself be tempted by Affogato, a melting vanilla ice cream under a piping hot espresso. A sweet treat to end this meal without weighing it down.

We complete the whole thing with a walk on the boardwalk to admire all the beauties of this starry night.
