When I have to celebrate a special event, I love to try a restaurant that will make me live an extraordinary experience. This is exactly what I found at La Legend, taking place on the charming St. Paul Street and facing the Old Port Market.
Little brother of the famous restaurant The Lair, The Legend offers a tasty and refined cuisine, all in a more accessible concept. The scenery alone is impressive. A mix of contemporary and rustic materials reminds the influence of the earth and of the Quebec forest. The cozy bar occupies a special place and a bay window allows to see the chefs at work in the way little corner.
The cuisine we enjoy! The menu is also entertaining in itself in addition to meeting the undecided and the curious. Most dishes are available in input portion or main course, so it is possible to make combinations and order several Small dishes for more discoveries.
To start the game, we opted for one of the sublime platters to share, one called Hands of fisherman. The presentation on a small glass aquarium as much as the delicate taste of dishes offered each of us have completely reversed. On set, shrimp croquettes, rillettes, crab remoulade and seafood chowder were among other conquered our taste buds. The mixture of crunchy bites sometimes, sometimes soft, hot or cold was simply sublime.
As a main course, the epicurean in me was tempted by two flat input format, issue to sample more things possible. My plate of roasted scallops to perfection was exquisite and his accompanying Christ's ears did not fail to amaze me. I also had a great pleasure to enjoy my second dish, a beef deliciously melting tab served with potatoes aligot.
The portions are well dosed just enough, I still had the appetite to let me charmed by the dessert, again daring. I enjoyed mentioned therein that the refined sugar was replaced as much as possible with maple syrup or honey Quebec. My choice fell on the Caramel, chocolate, pumpkin. A delight blending wonderfully sweet and salty.
The evening was a success across the board, both in terms of quality dishes of friendly service. Staff demonstrated a huge attention and seems to have really at heart the happiness of its customers. The restaurant also designs many products home and will even prepare their own bread and butter which has its own integrated gravy. Several products are also sold on site to report a small plot of fun at home!
