Sawadee: Asian specialties in the heart of Beloeil

The least we can say is that the opinions are divided when it comes to Sawadee restaurant, located in Beloeil. I went there three times and I've always enjoyed what I ate. I particularly liked the breaded shrimp accompanied by a Japanese salad and I also enjoyed the love nest with seafood although I wish he contains more scallops.

By cons, every time I went there, at least one of the people who accompanied me did not like his dish. The restaurant, however, is still relatively well stocked and seems to attract a regular clientele.

It offers a romantic atmosphere with relaxing music in the background and lights similar in style lanterns. Although this is a prime spot for couples, we also see many groups of friends and colleagues.

The property is a standard size and the tables are spaced far enough apart so that we can maintain a modicum of privacy. There is no bench there, but the chairs are not too hard and offer some comfort.

Prices are very affordable and you can choose from a wide variety of dishes from chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, scallops, seafood, fish or vegetarian. However, I found that the particular menu on the restaurant's website is not the same as the one we deliver once there. There are many more choices than bodes website.

The portions and presentation of the dishes are quite respectable. I was served quickly, by against one never came clear the table. The staff are friendly and smiling.

One can enjoy a glass of wine of our choice to accompany our meal because the restaurant offers the bring your own wine.

Sawadee is conveniently located near several shops including a pharmacy, video store and a crate.

As with anything, it's all a matter of taste. Since there are many views regarding this restaurant, it's now up to you to form your own opinion.
