Who doesn't crack in front of this cute little canine? By its name, this restaurant, erected in downtown Mont-Tremblant, calls out. This is also the second establishment of the brand, since the first opened its doors not far away, in Val-David.

It was during a family stay in this charming region that we discovered this friendly restaurant. Established in an old house, the restaurant sports a decoration according to the theme of the fox, of course. Otherwise, we would have been a bit disappointed. Works of art representing this cunning animal, cushions in the image of this small orange beast and fur on the walls set the tone. The atmosphere is cozy and warm although the glass fireplace is not in operation.

When we arrived, on a summer Wednesday evening, several guests were already present, but unfortunately only one server was on the floor. We understand the current situation, as the labor shortage hits the entire province and we forgive more easily.

We get the ball rolling with a bloody Caesar and a beer on tap for the adults. For children, a glass of juice is served. The little ones are a little surprised at the reddish color of their "apple" juice, but they don't mind.

The menu is quite varied: burgers, poutines, ribs, pasta, tartars, grilled meats, seafood, we cover quite a lot! We almost get lost. Difficult to understand the specialty of the places. For my part, I opt for a pasta dish that makes me crave: chicken & bacon penne. A generous portion is then served to me: short pasta covered with a rosée sauce and grilled peppers. I love the combination of flavors, although the sauce is a little too peppery. A little pronounced sweet taste also tickles me, but nothing to compromise my pleasure in tasting it. All in all, a good honest and very tasty pasta dish.

My husband, meanwhile, dives for what seems to be one of the specialties of the place, namely game meat. He selects the elk burger. A delight! The meat is tasty and the seasoning is ideal, it's a success!

Among the children, the choice is unanimous: everyone goes there for the mac & cheese. The verdict is just as general and the mousses are delighted with their macaroni and fromage blanc, served in a casserole dish and decorated with an elegant spaghetti of beets. Something to make them feel like adults! Although there were no complaints from them, I found (during the small bite stolen from my son's plate) that the sauce could have been creamier.
